Sad News for Saints. Vic Bushfires !!

Post: # 699548Post Eastern »

Some of you may have seen the images of the Davey family who perished in this week's bushfires. The images show Rob Davey and one of his children proudly wearing their saints jumpers. Rob, his wife and 2 children perished in the fire at Kinglake.
I believe Rob was a social club member who used to sit in the social club area on L1 at Telstra Dome. I also believe that he was close to some of luke.l_26's friends.

RIP the Davey family !!

Saw that today...brings it all even closer to home when you read about someone the same age, similar interests, young family, etc. . The story in the paper gave me shivers, poor folks. My condolances to their remaining family and any friends of theirs on here.

The images of Rob and Jorja were very sad and definitely touched my heart. Rob did sit on level 1 and was a dedicated social club member who had just signed up his daughter for the first time and was very excited to take her to her first game, unfortunately Jorja won't be able to make it. He will be sadly missed and will be thought about at every game. RIP Rob, Tash, Jorja & Lexie.

1st thing I noticed, also saw his jumper had been autographed.

Trust the club will do something appropriate in memorium.

Just a tragedy, to see so many lives lost, especially ones that didn't get a chance to start.

RIP Davey family.

The year that he became our new footy bubbie was some of the best times I have had. I will never forget him stealing my food. I still don’t understand how he put up with mine and a friends bitching and our annoying moods we got in when the game was s***.
It will never be the same again with out him sitting there.
ROB - You better be watching when they win the flag!

Rest in peace with your beautiful family.
