Can we focus on what we DO have?

Post: # 688652Post ctqs »

I'm sick and tired about reading how Ben Cousins was a lost opportunity. I even read somewhere how a Saints supporter would laugh if he kicked the winning goals in both games against us!
WTF!
The club is ALWAYS bigger than the individual. Especially if it's a player from another team. Doubly so if there are question marks over that player whether they be on or off the field.
Can we please start looking at what we do have, and not what we don't? I don't think he'll see the season out anyway, for one reason or another. So I don't think he'd be in our premiership team. He certainly won't be in Richmond's next flag.
But for those of you who thought he was going to get us over the line, how about we all start looking at ways of winning it with the guys we have. Surely you're not saying our boys aren't good enough and it's mission impossible even before the season has started

Still waiting for closure ... if you get my drift.

You're welcome.
If I had've seen one that was headlined something along these lines I may not have felt the need to post.

If, like me, you live in Hobart, this could come under the category of an "idle threat".

Why would you post a ridiculous statement like that?

A mate of mine did that many years ago.
It killed him, destroyed his family and the train driver's life.

Thoughtless comments like that are a sign of immaturity, gross stupidity, or both.

Totally agree with the OP.

Look forward.

We have a great list of leaders, core group and up-and-comers.

Get behind the ones we have.

I never was any different TBH.

Proud, blind follower of the club and it's decisions... Aaaand - loving it.

Biggest. Overreaction. Ever.

Thought through (yet still posted) comments like the above are the sign of political correctness run rampant, a trend which is literally ruining society and trampling the right to free speech. I'm sorry for your loss, but that doesn't mean that people can't make flippant comments about scenarios that they clearly had no inkling might be offensive... If we have to censor every comment on the off chance we might offend someone we might as well switch off the internet now and stop socialising. I've lost a couple of close friends to drug overdoses but you thoughtless bastards keep mentioning drugs in relation to Ben Cousins, how "immature and grossly stupid"....

Well, Hobart is certainly a place where one of Benny's dubious mates could fire off a gun of an evening without causing much of a problem for anyone.

WTF! (can't speak for other people)
The club is ALWAYS bigger than the individual. Especially if it's a player from another team. Doubly so if there are question marks over that player whether they be on or off the field. (I think the club put other interests ahead of football, footy first remember)
Can we please start looking at what we do have, and not what we don't? (But should have) I don't think he'll see the season out anyway, for one reason or another. (Again that is your supposition, mine is differen) So I don't think he'd be in our premiership team. (You don't think a fit and firing cousins would made an improvement to our midfield) He certainly won't be in Richmond's next flag. (Again supposition, their odds have dramatically increased tho)
But for those of you who thought he was going to get us over the line, how about we all start looking at ways of winning it with the guys we have. Surely you're not saying our boys aren't good enough and it's mission impossible even before the season has started
never said it was mission impossible

just think it would have been a dam sight easier with him in the team than against us

I do believe Kevin Sheedy has more flags on his own

than any of our current board members

or unfortunately our club

and he agrees with me

Well I actually agree with him

but you know what I mean

even harves reckoned he be good fit

but then did he have "confidential information"

keep following blindly

how many flags in how long

all the good intentions of boards

haven't amounted to much so far

their track records have been pretty dismal actually

imho this one just made another big mistake
