and if we don't have a MAJOR sponsor then we hardly have a clubsainteronline wrote:they put the sponsor's firstSENsaintsational wrote:I think on the BC issue, they have put footy first.
The guy is a drug addict who obviously has something to hide. Look at his behaviour.
Time bomb waiting to explode.
Seriously is it that hard to understand
With all the talk of a global recession looming can we really afford to lose our MAJOR sponsor
The Devil makes work for idle hands!!!
Time will tellSENsaintsational wrote:Sponsors were obviously one part of the equation. The coach also had reservations if you believe the reports. He has a pretty big say on footy issues.
I believe that if Ross wanted BC, he would've got him.
I'm the opposite
I think they were more worried about the repercussions
no matter which way you look at it if Ben cousins had stayed clean for the year
I think we would have been that little bit closer to a premiership
if not claimed one

The board acted responsibly in ensuring the long term survival of the club.
The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.

once said "all publicity is good publicity"
just have a look at how much publicity has been generated in the last week
if that had carried on to the rest of the year
if cousins had stayed clean it would have been all good publicity

I am so glad you highlighted / bolded the IFsainteronline wrote:

The board needed to be 120% sure that Cousins wouldn't stuff before they drafted him
Unfortunately 99% doesn't cut it and therefore he was rejected

Jeld Wen only came on after Gardiner had already played one season and and in that first year before they joined he showed himself to be reliable and committed to staying out of trouble - he hasn't put a foot wrong - Cousins on the other hand .....sainteronline wrote:what about gardiner no problems thereDevilhead wrote:I am so glad you highlighted / bolded the IFsainteronline wrote:

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."
