forum footy time ??
as a (sometimes) tolerated guest, can I say this is the best footy forum in the universe ??
an entertaining pleasure to read on here, compared to my sites of demonology/demonland...
if it occurred to the footy forum fanatics on this site that now may be a good time to challenge again for the big carl cup, please consider the relative built-up anger and frustration that you guys have endured compared to ours...
in past years, the absence of many of our young mid-field runners (owing to exams) at this time may have brought victory to you guys, but not this year IMO...
I would not try a November challenge this year (if I were you)...
but, then again, I am not you...
looking forward to the next match...
best wishes...

well, ok...
you have been warned...
we have the big carl cup...
traditionally, it's up to you guys to post a challenge by posting a date and a venue on the demonland site...
personally, sunday november 16 suits me, but I will be there to take big carl back to where he belongs whatever date it happens...
hey, spinner, you going to pick the losing side again ??
(LET history record that the spinners have always played brilliantly, and sometimes for the dees, but have never managed to choose the winning side !!)

rollo

Although - Playing for the demons (There weren't enough - and too many saints) was fantastic because the Saints won and we still joined in with the singing of the song!!!!
It was a win win situation lol because no doubt we would have belted out 'its a grand old flag' if the demons had got up by the narrowest of margins!!!!

No, he's a genuine footy forum member...Mr Magic wrote:Hey Rollo,
Have you banned your ruckman Andre the Giant?
as is your casey scorpion...
should we ban the demon because he is too tall, and the saint because he is too good ??
our 7' ruckman is as lazy as all get out...
unfit but keen...
he played the first game against you guys, which was by far the most memorable IMO...
you sainters came home in the last quarter with a wet sail, kicked 6 or 7 in a row to take the lead, and then there was that dubious goal umpy's decision...
that game had everything...
looking forward to sharing another after-match beer with you guys, assuming we can find a way to transport the amber fluid to gotch's paddock, that is...

Stick a tube into Didak, and the Shaw Bros - I'm sure they'd be carrying enough for all of us.rollinson 65 wrote:No, he's a genuine footy forum member...Mr Magic wrote:Hey Rollo,

Anybody involved with the Saintsational team that live anywhere near G-Train's restaurant and Harve's shop?
It might be time to do some recruiting for our team, now that there's been some retirements from AFL footy.
You never know, Harves, Sammy and G might be interested in bringing the Big Carl Trophy back home where it belongs?

very true, although we were only in that game due to a huge last quarter comeback, and would have been highway robbery for us to win itrollinson 65 wrote:"Are Whispering Jack and Scoop in charge of coaching again?"
It was Whispering Jack and Redleg...
they are busy blokes, but I hope they will be able to coach again...
the ledger could have been 2-2, HD, if not for that dubious goal umpy's decision in game one...

we are starting to sound like a couple of old geezers, HD, remembering the good old days...
but you guys had some very (very) good players that first game, who we haven't seen again...
BOG was a strong blonde utility ruck-rover (whatever) who took us apart in that last quarter...
was his name Damien ??
whatever happened to him ??

Watch out for any forum players being handed brown paper bags - they'd be the 'ring-ins' - you know - new environmental officers at Visy.
Also watch out that they don't try and steal your Andre the Giant ruckman with all sorts of promises.
Lastly, don't agree to any draft picks for them if they lose the game - they're notorious experts at 'tanking'.
Other than that, enjoy the game.
What are you playing for?

HaHaHa...
we used to have clever/fun posts like this on demonology before the thought police cracked down...
we were thinking of brent crosswell...
and so playing for the "crosswell curse"...
we have dispatched our 9' ruckman to Italy for the duration, but he will be back (and sorely needed) when we meet you guys and the spinner brothers - who could surely start their own AFL club - again...
thanks for the entertainment, but could we have some intel, please ??

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.
