Armo has been dropped twice this year if I recall - both games interstate...maybe that has something to do with it

I really hope that's inaccurate...

Armo and Birss out, and Gwilt getting a game over both of them? What the hell? Armo needs games under his belt, dammit. Enough of this "don't wanna over-expose him" crap.

I hope Gilbert makes a big comeback.

Why was Armitage dropped? Sore?

Interesting to see that we are trying both of Gwilt and Ferg.

Not surprised with McQualter being left out - no mid spot in the team

If Armitage is dropped, it is a disgrace. He will be there next year, Gwilt wont.

Armitage we know, maybe a few games in row for Gwilt will determine his fate.

I don't mind leaving him in there.

ARMITAGE!!!!!!

OK, calm down, count to ten....don't put your fist in the wall. There must be a reasonable explanation for this. Nope, none, cant find one.

This is purely unacceptable. What did he get beaten in a lap by ruckmen again? jeez ross, i try and support you, but FFS, he's the best thing we've got developing right you and your only stagnating him for being a 25 possy a game hard nut who bleeds for the club.

Not happy.

Birss and Armo out, Gwilt, Ferg (dont mind Ferg) and Gilbert straight in over them?

I mean I dont like seeing Armo out, but man Birss is stiff.

I personally don't. Gwilt, while making one or two minor blunders with disposals on the weekend had a good dip while he was on the field. Has the perfect body composition for an impact AFL player.

However I'm disapointed Birss and Armitage have been left out.

Im no fan of birss but he certainly deserves his spot ahead of others.

and armitage is proving to be a quality kid for the future.

interestingly mini and birss are emergencies and harvey was listed as 1-2 weeks so perhaps lyon is playing ducks and drakes?

Birss? What has he done wrong? If anything he was in our best last week i would have dropped Fergo or Gwilt back before him, at least Birss earnt his spot. And he actually hit a target last week, a stat that's pretty rare.

Armitage? The kid doesn't need to be eased into the team, he's got what it takes in my opinion but i dunno Ross knows him better than i do so i guess i'm just gunna have to back him on this one  It's really got me beat though.

They are big ins though so you are going to have to make room..maybe he's about giving Ferguson and Gwilt a fair go.. maybe he should, afterall a lot of us have been complaining that they haven't been given enough..
But it comes at Birss's and Armo's expense which i have to say is a little unfair considering Birss's form and Armo's game time.

Go Saints. Show us SOMETHING positive this week please :?

I wouldn't have thought the Coaches' form was good enough to be playing ducks and drakes.

Didn't do much at training yesterday, however he came out and ran one or two slow laps without limping. Didn't have any strapping on his calf.
