I'm sick of barracking for St Kilda...

Post: # 554855Post Spinner »

Never thought I'd say it. But I did, sitting on the coach, during the second quarter....It's just constant pain.

Gee I hope they bring something out during the second half. Because for some reason, this first half of football has just hurt more than all the others.

Maybe its thats numskull Javovich outlining that Port have had a lot more inside 50's. No s*** shirlock. Maybe its just the collation of his stupid comments, coupled with the idiotic thoughts of Russel.

But its hurting, hurting bad. And for some unexplained reasons, I'm not enjoying my football at the moment. I barrack for St Kilda, we all do...We know about losing. But tonight just feels different deep down inside.

I hope it can be a certain turning point (this half time break) that begins our quest for successfully obtaining the 2008 premiership cup.

Very disappointing tonight's effort! And for me to even think we had half a chance tsk tsk I'll never learn :(

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

It always seems to hurt, after 35 years being a sainter it doesn't seem to be getting any easier. We all keep the faith I know, but jeez ya wonder when it's coming, if ever. Would you not think they would lift just for Harvs, if nothing else?? Christ!!

Explains our one dimensional gameplan and inability to respond to Ports moves.

Why do we persist with this CRAP FOOTBALL THAT DOES NOT WIN. Did they actually go there with the mindset to win or were we playing for an away draw like they do in soccer?
We have no heart, no spirit and many of our players play brain dead football. I beleive that they believe they can't beat Pt Adelaide.
I have many friends who are St.Kilda supporters who hate watching us play because we don't play to win, we play to shut down.
As far as I'm concerned when they hand them their plane tickets tonight, Ross Lyon's should be to Sydney where he belongs.

Even before we play this mob, it is a 100% certainty everytime that one of the Cornes boys will be in the top two players for the game. The fact that we can never shut them down speaks volumes about the mental fragility of this team.

Oh, it'll stop. Most likely in about 3-4 years when we've gone nowhere and Lyon moves on. Of course by that time our "young guns" will be aging stars and our premiership window will be long closed.

Yeah Im feeling the pinch too. I could understand if we were a s*** side, but we have one of the best lists in the competition. There are no excuses. I know we are only 6 games in, but this season is looking to be incredibly dissapointing. Sure we missing king and gardi, but heres a news flash, we missed em last year too. We should have beaten Port tonight, theres no reason why we shouldnt have. We didnt come to play, we had passengers and when we needed lift we didnt have it.

I'm just rally over this. I dont think it its time jump off, but I am sick of being disapointed by a team who can defeat Geelong. It just cant be arsed putting in the hard yards to do so.

Who's fault is it? The Coach? The Players? IF this season continues the way it is going, i think its time for heads to roll. Or the memberships will

Sure it was pathetic.

But despite the crap we only lost by 21 points.

And we had no-one in ruck.
We need to get King back, or Gardiner, or preferably both.
First use of the footy in the middle would have helped enormously.

Keep the faith.

I think I had the highest expectations I have ever had as a Saints supporter this year. Watching these games (especially against Dogs and Port) show that we are not as good as I thought...how will we be better next year? We wont, this is the year...If Rooey goes to Gold Coast we are f***ed, literally f***ed, it will be 10 years before we have rebuilt yet again and f*** me, we will probably f*** it all up again....might as well go for the f****** gold coast when they join

Well it could be worse. We could all be Demons supporters :P

What could be worst is Carlton or Hawthorn getting there first.

by the way, we should learn from the Demons and not let our whole team get old together; at least we are showing faith in the rookie system these days

Agree with most...

The club is not even enjoyable to watch under this pathetic regime. It's a joke. One of the best lists on paper playing..hands down... the worst style in the league. Don't think Stkilda has ever been so bad to watch,so boring...so dull....not even in the darkest years!!! FFS our list is good yet we dish up this F ing pathetic style sh#t!!. We are the laughing stock of the league!!!!!!!

This new administration needs to sit this laughable coaching staff down and point out where we need to be headed, otherwise Lyon should be back at Sydney next year helping Roos bring the game into disrepute. Sheedy is in the wings....

We could have had God rucking for us, and we would have lost.

It wasn't the center clearances that lost us the game, it was every facet.

The kicking, the decision making, the running, the intensity, the pressure.

New coach last year...New administration this year...
Same Sh*t, Different year....
Nothing changes...Why do we always fall for the same excuses?
Why exactly is this admin better than the last, again?
What has to change? Seriously? Does ANYBODY have the answers?
Unfortunately the average male life span in this country is around 78.
I am 44....I'm starting to worry that I'm running out of time to see us win a flag

Possibly, but if available, should be given a go next week.

Nah, I reckon the "Fear of God" would have got the Saints over the line.
