If Hamill Retires

Post: # 462988Post Iceman234 »

Sick of threads being hijacked by flowerwits?

Sick of bidding farewell to OUR champions only to see the thread turn into a shyte fyte?

Then beg our mods to cut the cr@p posts from the other threads which are OUR Saints threads saying farewell to OUR legends - sick to death of Carlscum rubbish etc etc hijacking them..............

anyway........

Good on you Sammy, thanks for the memories of all the bonecrushing crunches and the way you just made blokes walk taller when you were on the ground.

One comes along rarely that does that and you were the latest. Hope you stick around the younger guys and "raise them" as your own.

 probably not - but that's not my point

If it is (and most likely will be) true FFS leave a thread dedicated to cr@p free dedications to him...... and not be sp..med with sp..m.

Sam should be our forward coach for 2008. He commands respect.

Have re-phrased the thread title to "IF".

Seems a cert tho.

I hope he stays on as "forward/tough sh!t coach" and teaches the young kids coming thru what it means to be a defensive forward.

On field for 2008 Hamill is not a big loss

in fact, he isn't a loss at all

he was great a couple years ago, but his retiring hasn't cost us anything but the hope that he may some day return

if you could guarantee hamill is capable of playing and he retired it would be bad news

but there really isn't anything he could offer us on the field for 2008...

has a great attitude which should be passed on to other sainters, but we haven't lost a player if he retires

Senior listed Saints gone since 2004:
Peckett
Hamill
Thompson
Jones
Black
Gehrig
Callaghan
Voss
Powell
Penny
Murray
Wulf
Houlihan
Knobel
Guerra
Schwarze
Moyle

that's 17 players

completely new coaching staff
new CEO
potentially new board
new recruiting manager
new fitness staff

fair to say, it's a new era

so, whats the go with the Hamill retiring story?

why have i heard nothing of this from any media outlets today?

hopefully the whole 'story' was just someone jumping the gun on some bad rumours...

http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/m ... 10917.html

"...WHILE uncertainty prevails over St Kilda, the club last night was relieved to further secure its playing list by re-signing key defender Matt Maguire for two years as rival clubs had begun to intensify their interest in the uncontracted Saint.

The news comes after the club also agreed to terms that involve forward Aaron Hamill retiring."....

Completely agree with that Carn Sainter. Have only lost the hope that he'd play again, which for me wasn't there anyway.

Exactly! I'm gonna miss Big Frase, thats a certainty.

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!
