Marshall
After the knee concern last night does Roma miss next week ?
Ross mentioned a couple of weeks ago that he will need a break at some stage, to me seems logical.
That is not taking a win against NM as a given I expect it to be a battle, although if we are going to be any good this year, we need to beat them well.

Re: Marshall
North will get another hiding today. They can rest Roma. Play that goose Howard in the ruck. He's not good for anything else.

Re: Marshall
Agree particularly against the weaker sides we have coming up. But if RTB is true to form he will play a 1/2 fit Marshall, have him hobble around for half the night until they realise they have made a mistake.

Yeah, give big Rowan a rest and bring in Campbell against North.

You left out the bit that describes what happens if he hobbles around for the full gameSteeleSaints wrote: ↑Mon 29 Apr 2024 1:28pmAgree particularly against the weaker sides we have coming up. Marshall has to favour one leg due to the pain and it causes him to pull a groin muscle or do a hammy and he’s out for 6 weeks

Re: Marshall
Xerri is a good player but any doubt i think Marshall gets a week rest and bring in Campbell.
Assuming King comes in for Sharman, then perhaps make a call between Cama and Hayes playing as a forward and back up ruck

Why would you drop Camaniti he has been good up forward there is no good reason not to play Hayes King and Caminiti its not to big or slow as Hammer was a Athletic running champion and king is very mobile Hayes is a bit slow but plays more traditional FF and if Campbell is in he could ruck with Hayes work well.

Hinkley gave him a big wrap. He rarely talks about the opposition

Re: Marshall
Not saying drop him but i don't think you can play all 3 and membrey. If it is thought that what Cama provides forwar and ruck is better than what Hayes does then no change.Saints58 wrote: ↑Mon 29 Apr 2024 2:42pmolder saint wrote: ↑Mon 29 Apr 2024 2:35pm Xerri is a good player but any doubt i think Marshall gets a week rest and bring in Campbell.

We were too tall all over the field last week and it showed with our pressure rating for the game - Battle, Howard, Wilkie, Cordy, Membrey, Camaniti, Sharman, Marshall -1/3rd of the team .
Cordy or Howard
Sharman or King or Hayes.

Re: Marshall
I think rucks are the least of our worries, and Marshall should be rested against North, and Campbell will hold up ok for that game. We need to get the midfield sorted and switched on from the first bounce- good luck with that.older saint wrote: ↑Mon 29 Apr 2024 2:35pm Xerri is a good player but any doubt i think Marshall gets a week rest and bring in Campbell.
