Tribunal a new level of randomness

Post: # 2052893Post older saint »

So Cameron gets a Good Bloke discount - now I have heard it all.
Surely the AFL should, but won't appeal.

yes he did it, yes it was at the low end and the guy not hurt , but every other bloke this year has been bad luck 1 week.

Does this mean if say Ross gets reported he can get a discount too, what about Pendles?

Does it work the other way - extra week for say Greene, Stringer, as ordinary blokes or is there a wanker tax for say Dangerfield

This is a disgrace ... of that's right Bris v Geel blockbuster this week also.....

We hold the AFL to a higher standard than they do themselves.

Broadcasters prob told them to find wriggle room to get Charlie off

Michael Christian is a spineless fool at best. At worst, he is corrupt.

Get rid of him. He is an utter failure. He should have been shown the door three years ago.

I think we would get better decisions made by a couple of old drunk guys at the local pub.

Everyone is sick of the incompetence, the inconsistency, and at favoured treatment of some players over others.

Not a single football fan would have any faith in this moron

He makes me sick

He gave Cameron a week, so in this case he was actually doing his job correctly.

The Tribunal made up a reason to downgrade it to a fine
Just remember, you cannot argue precedence at the Tribunal
Apparently you can now argue 'good character' though.

Didn't Christian impose a one match ban, which the tribunal overturned on appeal? Why is he spineless in this case?

Overall I think he does a reasonable job in a very difficult area, and the main source of controversy are one eyed fans.

I haven't seen much to disagree with this year.

Why did he not cite Nick Vlastuin's dangerous tackle on Dan Butler a couple of weeks ago? That was more dangerous than the Cameron one.

I stick to my assessment of him

Geez...He did cite him.
Got a fine (all it deserved)...No where near as bad as the Cameron one.

Complete excrement!
Greene's tackle on Andrew looked like slow motion. Absolutely nothing in it...Barely a free kick.

The AFL cherry picking good bloke's. Makes me think that they will do anything to assist another Queensland Premiership.

Previous good record? What utter rubbish, The guy has been fined 5 times, three of which were for rough conduct.

What was the difference between the impact King’s hit had and this?

Honestly if you want someone to blame, blame the class action cowards asking for a free handout from the AFL. Almost all of these heavily debated player incidents would not be up for discussion 10 years ago if it wasn’t for the AFL being sued left right and centre. The tribunal and Christian are under immense undue pressure.

He has been very quiet since the Butters / Crouch discussion.

No No No - The impact was the same and Cameron got the week - he even pled guilty - he is just a good bloke - nothing more than that.

That is why we were recruiting good blokes in the past - because at the end of the day - we thought they would not get suspended - but Paddy Ryder got suspended for STANDING FARKING STILL - so that theory did not work.

I prefer the current theory of good ball users and speed.

So former players taking their own lives and young men having to retire because of concussion risks are “class action cowards”

10 years ago we didn’t know what we do now.

Yes
Currently an ad on ch7 features lions supporters referencing Charlie.
Would be a bad look if ad was being played with him out suspended.

Try Greens tackle where head hits the ground - should have been a week
Butters where he took the Adelaide players head where he went 1 metre past the ball in a pathetic attempt at the ball..he new what he was doing but some are allowed the benefit of doubt and other don't. eg King should have anticipated player was going to be pulled down onto him...fair FO

You obviously see those incidents differently to me. I reckon the right outcome was achieved in all of them.
