I don't know about the whinging vegan not being worth eating, asiu. The finest beef cattle, chickens, and sheep are raised on vegan diets. The WVZ would be tender as well, never having been forced into heavy labour.
Indeed, sitting all day, ranting at a screen would make them extra fatty and juicier!
As for Darcy Moore, I've always found him to be articulate, intelligent, and considerate in his comments. He's a hell of a player and a club captain.
He is the antithesis of the average filth supporter. And he has a perfectly pearly, full set of teeth! Talk about a 180-degree turn away from tradition!
He and McRae are a very large part of the reason for Collingwood not being as hated as they've been in the past.
As for his sexuality, who cares? If he is gay, I think it would be good for other gay players, in bringing the issue into the mainstream. I know we have, as a community, discussed this issue at length, (e.g Pride round and game, etc. ) but until someone "comes out", and becomes the face and voice of gay players, there will always be jokes, snide comments and rumours.
I know I made one of these snide comments disguised as a joke, about his musical preferences, naming some stereotypical gay icons, such as Barbra Streisand, Elton John, etc. Mea Culpa, forumites.
After a considerable amount of reflection, there'll be no more from me. An unconditional apology to those offended.
