Fremantle’s Liam Henry has been weighing up his preferred destination and is believed to have selected St Kilda as his new home. A trade will now have to go through next month. @aflcomau

Billings and a pick in the 50's hopefully

It would be great to keep our first 2 draft picks.

If he chose us, Freos negotiating power is limited

Hawthorn's woes with indigenous players like Cyril should have been enough to persuade him against the Hawks.
A ploy to make saints offer more money.
Now saints have to get him without giving too much away in draft picks.

Why would we want him unless we get him cheap ?
His stats for a midfielder are on the low side .

Still young. Has plenty of speed and skill something which we really lack.

BTW. A friend of mine met a gun player we should have picked. Apart from being very amicable, said player is a footy head (many players aren’t) who had plenty to say about today’s game. Has a real footy brain and was very insightful. We really stuffed up. Thanks Trout!

He is OOC and has told Freo he wants out.
It could be one of those that hold out until the last half-hour of trading.

He's quick and has good foot skills. Two things we need more of. Can't turn your back on that opportunity as a club. Right now I don't care what position he plays. He'll add to our group of talented youngsters.

Based on the Hill trade we may have to throw in Owens and next year's first as well!

Fremantle don’t have that strong a position.
Hill was contracted which is very different.

He's uncontracted isn't he? Doesn't that limit Freo's leverage?

Yes - but .... (I think)

If we cannot agree to a trade - he has to nominate for the PSD and hope no-one picks him up. The truth is - you are right - at the end of the day - Freo will have to take whatever we offer - or lose him for nothing.

You don’t have to have high numbers to be a high impact player, look at Toby Bedford as a current example.

Given Henry’s pace, running capabilities and what appears decent foot skills, I hope he can be the outside runner who breaks the lines and impacts more with 12-15 touches than an accumulator of stats who doesn’t hurt the opposition.

One can only dream, but he looks a talent who is ready to break out. He has what we need with genuine pace. Certainly adds to the team and would be a good get for #32 or a future 2nd rounder.

If we don’t have to give up much for him, it’ll go down as a pretty good acquisition during the trade period,

Accumulators are critical

If you have the ball, the opposition don’t

30 possessions at 50%
Is better than
15 possessions at 90%

Seriously so many negative ppl here. He will go for a 2nd rounder. When was last time we picked up anyone good with pick 25-35? He’s Aboriginal, quick, young, and wants to come to us ! What a deal !!! Can’t wait .

We won’t get him for a second rounder - he was initially a pick 9

Played 4 years - just started coming into his own

They will want pick 11

BTW
On your last point
Mitch Owens was pick 33
Seb Ross pick 25
Josh Battle pick 38
Jimmy Webster pick 41
Ben Parton pick 46
Marcus Windhager pick 47
Ryan Byrnes pick 53

saying between 15-25 will be required. Probably depends what happens with Gresham to some extent. Always have futures too, OOC actually helps as we have seen puts player in a powerful position.

straight trade for a Gresham compensation pick would be reasonable. Whatever that may be.
