Dunstan on extended bench
Dees vs Tigers, Sunday
Extended bench includes Luke.
I reckon he's medical sub.
His inaccuracy won't fit the Dees' gameplan and style.

Re: Dunstan on extended bench
Ben Brown didn’t land a permanent spot in the Dees team until about round 17, and now he has a premiership medal.
Maybe they’re getting Luke ready for round 8?

Re: Dunstan on extended bench
I always thought it was pbly a reasonable move for both Luke and Melbourne.
Whether it’s now or before a final… Dunstan strikes me as the type of player that could get a sudden call up and play out of his skin to mark the occasion

Re: Dunstan on extended bench
I used to own tickets to the front row of the Luke Dunstan fan club but I ditched my tickets in 2021 when it became apparent Luke's attude was his biggest weakness. I can support a battler with weakness in skills who gives 100% effort 100% of the time, HOWEVER, I find it hard supporting a player who picks and chose when he will give effort or refuses to do the team thing.
Luke's very small patch of outstanding performances in 2021 relative to his long time with tbe club only angered me, the final straw was an interview he did after one of his BOG games in that small patch.
And his appearance in that Doco just made me think he ain't that bright either.
Who knows what the real story was as to why he fell out of favour with Ratts but time is proving Ratts made the right call.
I wish him well, clearly the Dees coach is getting him ready for round 8 which is a really smart move because everyone knows Luke only plays well when it's his choice.

I think he is perfect for what Melb. will want play games here and there to mange their keys players for finals. I imagine he will only play finals to cover injuries

Re: Dunstan on extended bench
Never had an issue with Dunstan until he left and acted like a twat. That interview and TV show did him no favours. Usually I’m happy to see players get a second chance after they leave us but he openly showed so much disrespect, it’s not the case with him. Parker on the other hand I’m rapt to see him playing for the Tigers.
