Both Petracca's and Bontempelli's stamp on the GF has been a privilege to watch. Bad 5 min lapse by the Dogs at the end of the 3rd though and I think it will cost them.

Melbourne are moving heaven and earth to win the game that matters. Well done to them. Another club with the monkey off their back from limited finals opportunities.

They invested heavily in the midfield and it’s now paying off.

And don’t forget we gave them a nice free kick with Petracca!

They at least had the week off so that would count a lot. We are witnessing a team that hasn't had a GF win since 1964. That's what you do when you're that hungry, you seize the opportunity and create a new history. I'm happy for them.

Dud, we sure did and personally we have been hearing it since the 2014 draft and will continue to. The pick that totally bewildered us at the time. Imagine Steele and Petracca together. He will probably get a Brownlow too in what is and will be a stellar career.

I think it will either be a close Dogs win or a Melbourne blowout. Hoping the Dees get up.

What it really shows is that Allan Jeans was ALWAYS right - players make coaches.

Even Cho could ‘coach’ Melbourne’s team tonight.

I feel so sick and sad that we now hold the losing streak. It’s just so fvcking St Kilda though. It ex-coach wins a flag in his next gig. Meanwhile - we have a 5 page thread on a fan forum about a 1st round pick complete potato who’s been delisted. But we’ll keep Ross for, I dunno - insurance … in case the 6 other midfielders are injured in R1

I can’t not support them but; I despise our club tonight and all the ineptitude that it represents. I hope it subsides. Off to the Ryder Cup coverage I go …

I remember a few years ago many around here were saying it’s ok we didn’t pick Petracca because he wasn’t going to be that good anyway… I wish I could go back and find those posts!
