Assume Webster for Long, Marshall for McKernan, Bytel for Gresham, Kent for Wood. ???

Boy Butler can count himself lucky... 1 goal and 25 touches across three games

I am really shaking my head, who in God's name is the back up ruckman for Marshall!
Marshall , first game of the year and no 2nd ruck. I can easily predict we lose and Nic Nat best on ground.

Jake or Battle, according to the coach. Better than the witches hats we were playing.

I think this shows “thanks Luke Dunstan” for your efforts

That he can’t get a game requires an explanation from the club

As I have said elsewhere, his last game for the club he got Brownlow votes

And that goal was from a formally recognized incorrect free kick right in front too ...

VFL match report mentioned Luke was doing well in the forward line, provided guidance to the younger ones,
needed to work on some things, etc, so I thought he might get in this week at the expense of Zac maybe, who I thought had injured a leg or foot last week?

Rats did not recognise Butler after the hair cut and so could not tell him he was to be dropped. ;)

Were all the players that were dropped worse than Hill against the Bombers . :?:

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Long is not dropped. He wasn't in selected side last week.

He came on as injury sub.

Jack Higgins shown as Centre Half Forward again
Against Jeremy McGovern, the sainter should win that marking contest easily.
Jack Sinclair shown as Centre Half Back against Jack Darling, the sainter should win that marking contest easily too.
I am surprised they haven't shown Jack Lonie as first ruck against Nick Naitanui.
That would really put the fear of god up Naitanui.
Jake Carlisle will destroy Liam Ryan for ground ball gets.

You just can't drop someone in tip top form to bring in Luke Dunstan.

CHF and CHB do not exist in AFL footy any more

There are two Key Forwards and two Key Defenders

They position themselves dependent on whereabouts the ball is positioned (they do not have a starting on a part of the oval).

At centre bounce both Key forward start relatively deep inside fifty.

Where they are positioned on Thursday is nowhere near where they line up On game day

gutless. after such a performance just two players dropped - both newly drafted as back ups and naught more.
where's the message?

The coach is sending a very clear message. Sorry Luke, you were a 1st round draft pick, you were thrown into the midfield as a teenager and you gave the club 100%. But we now value soft receivers, we suggest you look for a role back in Adelaide next year.

Sorry Brett Ratten, you are losing my support.

Don't want to be disrespectful to the two guys, but we cannot be a considered a genuinely competitive unit if we need McKernan and Wood in the team

Long is obviously testing the patience of the coaching staff. Hopefully Webster can consolidate his position now.

Bytel needs to play in the stoppages. Put some faith in him and consider him an ongoing starter. Now is the time to get the games into him. The only way he'll develop is if he plays in the seniors week in, week out.
