Something going on at the club because it's all very secretive the last two weeks.
So are you Moorabbin Ghost, or did you just read his BF post or is it a coincidence that you just posted what he posted not long ago?

Thanks for the morsel playon. I had a little mental bite and it ain't tasty. I will pass...Keep our potential stars and go to the draft.......why is it that there is this intense desire to trade?...and the even worse idea that if you do not trade you are a loser...Crazy really...
Not my morsel it came from MG at BF who is probably their best itk, which makes me a little more than concerned as to who it may be. I dont think we can afford to lose some of our promising players

Then we use 46 on Lamb and use 10 and 35 on kids in the draft?
Id be happy with that.
1. Stevens isn't great.
2. Billy Longer went at pick #8 in the draft, we also used pick 25 ourselves on him. I believe many clubs need a ruck, so we should get at least a 2nd round pick.
3. If we get Nathan Brown I'll throw a brick through my window, makes 100% no sense.
4. I'd rather trade pick 10 for maybe a higher end round one pick and a mid round 2 pick, and try get another round 2 pick if we trade Longer, or somehow use him to get Weller
5. Have no idea if Lamb is any good, but seems OK to use a 4th or 5th rounder.

Nathan Brown will be a Free Agent and it makes a lot of sense, we need another ready to go key defender and we can get him for zip.

1 and 2. I was thinking Longer is worth a pick 25 and Stevens a pick 50 something. Thats how I came up with Stevens + pick 35 being about the mark... PIck 25 is early 2nd round.... So I think we agree?
3. I agree - Brown = Delaney imo. Dont see much point delisting Delaney and then getting Brown? Same same.
4. Good in theory but seems speculative...
5. Agree.

I do not think so as the Port rumour is that Lobbe wants to leave as Ryder will be used as the No1 ruck in 2017 after having served his drug ban.

If Longer goes anywhere it will be to a club where he is likely to be able to grab the No1 ruck slot.

Based on Longer's 2015 form....

Jacobs No
Martin Yes
Kruzer Yes
Grundy Yes
Luenberger No
Sandilands No
Z Smith Yes
Mumford No
McEvoy No
Goldstein No
Gawn No
Ryder Yes
Hampson Yes
Hickey No
Naismith Yes
Lycett Yes (injured)
Roughead Yes

Apparently Will Minson to Port is a done deal, so I'm not sure that's the destination.

Something going on at the club because it's all very secretive the last two weeks.

Billings perhaps???
Thanks for the morsel playon. I had a little mental bite and it ain't tasty. I will pass...Keep our potential stars and go to the draft.......why is it that there is this intense desire to trade?...and the even worse idea that if you do not trade you are a loser...Crazy really...
Not my morsel it came from MG at BF who is probably their best itk, which makes me a little more than concerned as to who it may be. I dont think we can afford to lose some of our promising players
So will they give us Fyfe in return?

Longer wouldn't be a shock after all the talk about him. Armo would have to be a smokey. I could imagine GC eyeing him off as the sort of club leader and standard setter they are desperate for and also to take the heat off Ablett. From Saints perspective if we landed Steele - my understanding is he's a bit more of the same type as Armo, Dunstan and Ross - tough but not particularly quick or elite disposal. Do we want all 4 as out and out midfielders? Even allowing for rotations that's a lot of the same type.

Its hard to see Armo moving but if GC throw huge money at him, at 28 that could set him up for life after footy and be hard to resist.

I agree Bluthy. If he is happy to go, we could get a pretty good deal for him. And there would be no hard feelings in the playing group. And I think it has makes a bit of sense too. Love the Armo but there is a bit of win/win about this possibility.

If not Tom Yum then we could international rookie list that fine Thai prospect, Kreme of Sum Yung Guy.

StChris

If you think Billy Longer would replace Stefan Martin as a ruckman... Wow

Billy 2015
8 disposals
29 hit outs

Stef Martin 2015
22 disposals
27 hit outs

Not sure he's in front of Paddy Ryder or Matty Kruzer either?

Huge play is on. Close to being done. Im calling it. My source was holding out the SOB.
Want jaxons or any other itk but take it to the bank (most likely)
Longer Billings and Eli are gone. :(

BUT before crying foul, its all worth it. :)

L.WELLER and FYFE.
Apparently Fyfe wants Melbourne. Bigger profile and believes in richo and where were going plus the $1m+ wed be paying.
And this is not a simple fremantle trade. Talking 4 way deal here.

2018 flag is ours. (If reiwoldt stays lol)

Personally happy but sad about billings. Still need to give to get.
