Apart from scoring cheap goals what else does Cripps do?

We are getting a good run from the umpires we need to all learn the rules.

The endevour and intensity is there, just lacking the polish and steadiness to finish off the forward thrusts.
Very proud so far. CMon boys.

Gees can anyone stick a tackle to stop WCE handballing it out when tackled.

Who picked off the Eagle (Darling?) in the middle of the ground. Must have been 50m off the ball. About 11 minutes to go in the quarter.
Dempster and Fisher were both being booed later.

Edit. Should add that it wasn't shown, just the Eagle rolling around holding his midriff.

Fair point, but it's not over yet. These things have a way of evening out if you stick at it.

Nick needs to step up. He seems to be "standing back" to let others have a go. No good. You are being paid son - go for it like it's your last game.

Couple of stand out things in that half.

Our kicking inside fifty is a joke not up to league standard. Jack Steven in particular is killing us and his excellent work ethic.

The umpiring is as and as I have seen in four decades of watching the Saints, they are clueless.

Three times.
One we had the advantage, one 90m out on the siren, the other one for Sinclair taking it out of the ruck.

Don't worry. They can just one-handed throw it at that point. Priddis seems to be a master at that. Haven't seem them get pinged for it yet.

What's wrong wigh Jack's kicking? Is there a tinge of OP going on which is limiting his leg power??

Our conversion inside the forward 50 just doesn't cut it. The field kicking forward of the centre square is not anywhere near where it should be. Eagles' defence is patched up and we should be able to hurt them if we get the ball in our forward line, but we're not. Our endeavour is good but our tackling needs to get better, or the players need a strength building program, so that we hurt them when we're tackiling them.

Think he needs to learn to steady when he kicks, goes flat out.

An extra 2 goals a game would be handy right about now, wouldn't it?

Was said on here during the week by one poster (cant remember who).
Also I found it funny when the club had a press conference when he returned from injury in rd 12 or whenever it was. Sorry but Gilbert doesnt warrant a press conference. I rate him as about our 10th best player. The guy is a good battler - similar to Geary.

Perhaps it's a battlers' night. Our first half effort was outstanding.
