There's conflicting info being reported/rumoured. Of course Richmond in the media are saying how disappointed that he's requested a trade however I'm also hearing rumours Richmond have been low-balling his contract to make his decision to leave easier.

Interesting perspective. It's actually a good way of offering a play up for trade without reducing their trade value by saying "we don't want him anymore".

I look forward to the truth coming out eventually.

I happened to be sitting in a café and couldn't help overhearing a conversation btw his manager and who I assume was the Richmond list manager.

His manager is a massive jerk.

Dusty quit school at 14. Says a lot really, in this day and age in particular.

only referance I can find to his manager- so far is that it may be
Winston Rousand the new company Phoenix. ''He's a gem,'' said Martin of the 20-something Rous. ''For me just starting out, having him supporting me has been like gold. I'm sticking with him, we've got a great relationship.
if he's a 20 something who is trying to ' make his mark' as a manager then not necesarily as bright as he thinks.

what I tried to change in the last thread was that in April it appears his manager was
Aug 17, 2013 - DUSTIN Martin's delayed contract negotiations has failed to drum up ... in contract talks between his manager Ralph Carr and Richmond.

Media are saying his manager is Ralph Carr...a very very experienced operator.

If he walks forget about someing to the Saints..why would be ban 2 players holidaying with him if we were interested in acquiring him

Strikes me that he (and his Dad) would be putty in the hands of a smooth manager who looks at his own commission first

Also manages Vanessa Amorosi, Richard Wilkins and Kate Ceberano, but how many other footballers?

The Hun reckons Mick is first in the queue (the Dusty and Daisy double), and we're very unlikely (exhale slowly with relief).

Interesting analysis of who has the $ and draft picks to do the deal with Richmond ... here's hoping they spend up big ...

The biggest worry for our club is the rather large "Leak" that has occurred! Not for the first time.

Didn't our couch just tell some of our players not to holiday with him? Pretty sure it won't be us that he comes to.

What has he done that is so bad?
Dunno, but if Scott asks players to cancel their o/s trip with him?
We don't really know the details of what Scott has actually asked the players to do…

He might have said "maybe going to Vegas is a bad idea guys…"
What about if it went something like... "dusty show us you're serious about staying clean off-field (aka dont go to vegas) and we will offer you 5 years @ squillions $$$."
Armo and chips happy to oblige, getting their mate in the lockroom.

Sounds totally plausible to me.

I reckon we have put a big offer in front of him (giving him the confidence to walk out on the tigers), and it's up to the rest of the league to beat it.

We have BJ space in the cap free right now- all the other contenders cant commit to big dollar offers until guys like buddy, daisy etc. actually leave.

I reckon we are the clubhouse leader.
I'm not worried about his lack of loyalty to richmond... he's loyal to $$$ (clearly), so as long as we pay him- he'll be loyal!

I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.

I know how Dal feels.

Ordinarily I believe in the no d!ckheads rule but when you finish 16th and the end is in sight for Lenny, Roo and co I say the are exceptions to said rule.

Club saying he has not quit the club- still discussing.
