4 time B&F and had he played this year could easily have been 5
Got to be worth at least a 1st round pick.

They are. Hannas named on a wing. Steven rover.

Geelong gave a 2nd round pick and swapped 1st round pick moving down a hand full of places to get G.Ablett back.

They are not giving up a first round pick for Steven.

At very best a 2nd round pick or a fringe player.

Shame, would rather keep Jack.

I would love Stuv to stay, but he owes us nothing.

He has won games off his own boot and put his heart and soul into this club. If he wants a change we should do everything to make it happen.

It’s probably not going to be a first round pick. He is a couple of years beyond that.

A potential young gun and a later pick would be pretty good recompense for him.

Worth even more if he finds balance and happiness.

It's an extended bench so I still don't quite feel sure he'll play. (Typical Geelong trick to name 'em and then pull 'em) If he does play I hope he rips. He does look porky in the Sandy pics, tho hard to say with long sleeves. If Hanners and Stuv are both in, but not at 100% that makes me a little worried, on the other hand, they could both serve notice to everyone, just in case people have forgotten who is boss - eh..bosses.

You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

No he won't PLAY again this season, he simply does not have the fitness to PLAY.
He will however take the field this Saturday.
He will b a liability late in the game.

Adelaide gave the Blues 2 first rounders 10 &16 for Gibbs at 29 years old as I recall.
Steven got 18 Brownlow votes last year finishing in the top 8.
Even given his "mental health issues" why wouldn't we expect 1 late first rounder?

Because - We are St Kilda and we bring our own Vaseline.

Agree. I would rate Steven higher than Gibbs. Carlton got 10,16 & 73, Adelaide got Gibbs, 77 and Carlton's future 2nd & 3rd picks (2018).

The issue is the mental health problem which weakens our bargaining power. If it is widely perceived that the change to his home base where he has a farm would assist his mental state, and he is desperate to go, it would be hard, after his service to the club, and counter productive, to force him to stay. It is however a tough business, and I would be pushing very hard for a first rounder.

If Geelong gave us pick 21 for Rhys No Balls Stanley then surely we get at least that for Jack Chicken Farm Steven.

Or Charlie The Deputy Constable.

Jack will have to take a pay cut if he wants to [lay with the girlong team. I hear he would blow their salary cap sky high.
