Jack Billings 29 disposals, 7 marks.

Adam Schneider 24 disposals, 5 tackles, 5 marks

Seb Ross 24 disposals, 4 tackles, 3 marks, 3 goals.

Terry Milera 27 disposals, 3 tackles, 7 marks, 2 goals

Acres also had 18 apparently and did ok by all reports.

Also nb: Bruce didn't play as he was on Emergency duties at Etihad.
How often does an emergency play. ?
Is it time to have slightly second stringers as emergency??

Swing the axe

Think Eli needs a rest... For Milera

Like to see Ross get a game... For Savage

Billings in for someone, anyone?

Wright out .... Bruce a game... Gwilt off the monsters.

Lee obviously for Maister

he had 90% TOG and had more zip in him than 90% of our team

There could be a shite load of changes with Schneider and Hickey likely avail, Fisher possibly and the good form of Billings, Lee, Milera and Ross. Shenton a chance to be upgraded with Wright out for 10-12. He's been Sandy's best.

I think get Tezza in for Templeton for a few weeks.

Upgrade Shenton and bring he and Bruce into the team for a bit of 'hipster grunt.'

I really hope Shents gets a go. It would be a shame to give him a couple of late games and delist him like we did with Ledger. he couldn't do any more than he has to deserve a chance.

and maybe they could promote a pop up bar on the footbridge. Now that is a much better gimmick idea then an animal enclosure sponsored by a costume shop

Im tipping a conservative approach to changes by the coaching staff - team unity and all just a feeling about the way Richo coaches. Maybe changes for injury only - Wright and Armo out (his knee's need a break) Billings, Hickey and Schneider in (if Hick is better.) We need more experience on the park.

He was saying in his first year they were laughing about Plugger even suggesting they thought he might be "spastic". He said he came out the next year and was unstoppable. I'm hoping that will be big Spencer. Just needs to get back and work on his craft.
Let's not start comparing a no senior gamer to the greatest goal kicker of all time.

Wasnt plugger 17 in this first year?
He then kicked 77 VFL goals in 1984 - including 7 vs the eventual Premiers, the Bombers, in round 1- just after his 18th birthday.

I dont think anyone was laughing or calling him names at any point.

The other bloke is 19 and playing 2 levels down.

Will be interested to learn how Lee went today..

On Richo...I assume part of his strategic plan will be over the season to rotate many players through ONCE they have earnt a crack. Injuries will provide some opportunities, but not enough if we wish to blood a lot of players and to give each at least a number of games to show what they have/to be given experience.

Apart from the newbies...Richo may wish to see how players like Milera will go. Some like Shenton will be having make or break years.

Re resting Eli. Two things. Firstly... why?

Secondly, remember that Eli only has another six-ish games left as the long term injury upgrade for Lew P, then it's back to the rookie list anyway, So I wouldn't wanna' see him rested just for the sake of rotating bloke thruogh to have a look at ''em. Only miss if if necessary IMHO...

Right, so my question re that. Assuming that Nat Wright isn't right for 8 weeks with a right (is it actually the right that isn't right?) fibula that (left or right) clearly isn't alright... how does it work if we end-up putting him (Wright) right straight onto the long term injury list?

Does whoever is upgraded (for Wright) have to be the nominated upgraded player to right throughout the period that Nat isn't alright for? Or can we swap in and out various players from left (or even right) field to be that upgraded player, as long as we don't ever end up with more upgraded rookies than blokes who aren't right and so are on the long term injury list...? Coz the AFL mightn't think that was alright for us to do:?

It's all not quite sounding right to me. Wonder what our most recent past-president would make of it all?
