I felt that for the last little while-- neither party wishing to be seen ad the ' bad guy'- as it was with Ball and Goddard, although Dal's manager seemed to feel it was the club dragging it's heels- I felt they were really willing it to the end for which ever way would get best draft pick- and North weren't budging.

BJ - spent all his last year plotting and scheming his departure to maximise the $ which was clearly out of our league.

I've loved dal Santo pretty much from the moment we got him. I feel sad, angry, and disbelieving that he's gone.
My gut feeling is that he was edged out, against his basic preference.
I'll never be able to boo him. I'll still barrack for him in a certain way.
I'm secretly glad he's at least gone to North -- who deserve a bit of better luck -- rather than to Essendon or Collingwood etc. That really would have been a bitter pill to swallow.
Just hoping now that whoever we draft with his comp is also going to warrant some loyalty and devotion.

No, of course you don't have to agree with every decision makes, or to like everything the club does.

But for God's sake man, you don't have to disagree with every decision makes, or to hate everything the club does either!

Some people don't enjoy their jobs but keep at it because they need to make a living.

Some people don't like some of their relatives, but hey, they're family.

But supporting a sporting team is different. We are supporters because we support. That's what defines us. 

Now sure some of us at times wear rose coloured glasses and see things a bit too optimistically. But that's a natural thing for a supporter (e.g. fan) to do.

And of course supporters should voice their concerns with decisions the club makes.

But a supporter who constantly, on a daily basis, can only find negatives in the team, is not a supporter.

Now that may only be my opinion, but I'm sure it's supported by every major Dictionary in the world.
