Don't get me wrong Ernie everyone is entitled to their opinion but what makes you think along those lines :?
He is the calm head we are desperately missing
That's if he gets on the park & that in it's self is a big if . He has been ticking all the boxes for almost 4 years & has played a handful of decent games. Never been bog ,never kicked more than 2 goals in a game & has only played a couple of games in almost 2 years . If you're hanging your hat on 30+ year old has been we are in more trouble than I thought :(
Hopefully he gets his body right and proof will be in the pudding
Hopefully that is the key word . Call me a sceptic but I will believe when I see it.
Hannebry isn't the messiah.

He is a former A-grade player who hasn't been that for about 4-5 years.

At this point if he did (which he won't) get back on the park regularly he'll just be basically another Ross clone.
Just to stir up some old stinking turds for every one to have a little whiff on a Monday …. click the link. The headline reads;

The damning stats behind a star's shock demise

Note the date of the article given we decided to recruit him later that year and given we could witness his last few games at Sydney in July August 2018 (which was all you needed to conclude he was already cooked) and given the damning stats!

But, we're into recruiting and paying overs for players who are former shadows of themselves, and letting players like Lynch, Acres, Guerra, Hind develop and/or flourish elsewhere. And overlooking obvious number one players due to character flaws --- Petracca.

We have a point of difference - it's our forte.

Fortius Quo Recruitius.

(we're 5-2, so we must be doing something right in between shooting ourselves repeatedly in the foot)

Hannebery is an elite user by hand or foot and elite decision maker

If fit, will absolutely make us a better team

But doubt if he’ll get fit.

In a way samoht, maybe the Hannebery trade will be a blessing in disguise for our club. Maybe Lethlean has learnt a valuable lesson and maybe he’s shitscared of losing any more credibility and potentially losing his job!

You have to admit that since that monumental blunder that our football department and especially our recruiting team have done a terrific job. I’m super impressed with NWM, Windy and the ready made players we’ve picked up like Wilkie, Hayes etc. Plus also the year they got Hill, Ryder, Howard, Zac Jones and Dan Butler has basically set us up to be contenders for finals

Our football department and recruiters should listen to the collective wisdom on this site from now on ... for if they did, Petracca would now be wearing our guernsey and Hannebery would not.

I think it is between Saints, Swans, Freo and Carlton for the last top 4 spot.

Melbourne, Brisbane and Geelong are a lock for Top 4.
Melbourne - clearly the best team
Brisbane - balanced and mature team.
Geelong - Mature, experienced and have an easy draw.

My calculation is 1 spot left for Top 4.
All of Saints, Swans, Freo and Carlton are pretty even and will need to stand up to make it.

Carlton are least likely at this time but are on the rise
Swans have a good balance in the team
Freo and Saints have considerable players to come back

Top 4????

I just looked at the ladder predictor for the year, and if we don't beat dome of the more fancied teams we'll struggle to make the 8.

I think Top 3 by a fair margin are: Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

Geelong are a bad pie eaten by Hawkins off missing the 8. Finally I can see us slowly going up the ladder and the Cats going down, like ships in the night. I hope it's this year, if not, it's definitely next year.
