Is the West Coast Eagles

Western Australian enough??

BTW
I don’t want the Saints to relocate, and I want Tas to have their OWN team

If StK we’re going to go as the “Southern Saints”

They should’ve done it in 2011, instead they went to Seaford

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

I looked - but I think Tassie has just become an Airport - I could only find landing strips

Will a Tasmanian AFL team play in the State jumper or will they design a new one ?

Will NOT be called Tasmania - there are no other State named teams

Will be called Southern or South or ???????

Could easily be the "Southern Saints"!

If St Kilda don't get their finances in hand and have to continue to be the lapdog for the AFL, it remains a destinctly possible outcome!
No amount of $'s spent on infrastructure at Moorabbin will keep them there if St Kilda look like going belly up.
Those assets have been funded by the AFL and the 3 levels of government, so will simply revert to being available for community use.
The transition would be swift if it happens, as it was with South Melbourne. Same jumper, except possibly the shield modified slightly to represent the map of Tassie, just as the Swans Jumper was with the Opera House silhouette!
I'd still support them if they went to Tassie. A much better outcome than forced to shut up shop and become just a page in AFL history.
I'd still get to see every match on TV, as I do now.The only drawback there is having to put up with some of the inane commentary that you sometimes get to hear!!

And who’s taking over Moorabbin?

We are there for the foreseeable future

I still haven't forgiven the club for the Seaford misadventure.

That’s what they said in 1992!
It took until 2007 for it to go belly up.

Maybe 15 years is a good outcome?

I think it’s a slow death..Hope I’m wrong.

Moorabbin could turn into the hippest locality in Melbourne !

I thought Hampton was the deadest corner of the earth in 1979 smoking Longbeachs at the bus stop with my mates.

Now it is one of the most desirable parts of Melbourne and it’s strip shopping center is from a magazine (well, kind of)

Perhaps the Beach Oval could be fixed up?

You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Sorry - I thought that was implied - but I was forgetting that some on here were not privy to the vitriol of that era.

You mean this blip?
