Xavier Clarke
I cant understand why so many posters here are talking up Xavier Clarke as being our forward line saviour next year.
Obviously people here have very short memories. X Clarke is extremely injury prone and will be returning from major surgery next season. He wasnt in our best 22 when he did his knee and there's nothing to suggest he will be in our best 22 next season.
In fact I will be extremely surprised if he's even on our list next year!

We all have differing opinions on players. I, for one, rate Xavier Clarke highly. I think he's a top 10 player for us. But he has had injuries, that is agreed. I believe he will come back a very good player for us. I consider him markedly better than his brother. Although he has been unreliable in front of goal, he may be a forward option. But I'm a fan wherever he plays.
I also rate Xavier highly. Yes he has been injury prone, but the difference now is he's had a full year to recover and get it all right.
And it could be a two for one bonus: I think Raph somehow steps up and plays better with his brother in the side.
I hope next year is THE year for the Clarke brothers.

Xavier Clarke has been working very hard, and very closely with our fitness guru, Dave Misson on getting all of his body right (including his knee). Expect to see a very different Xavier Clarke (including body shape) very close to Rd 1 in 2010 !!

two for one
Raph and X should be packed off to anybody who will take them in a two for one deal. We should push to get Shaun Burgoyne, extra pace, can push forward and finish well. I like Raph, but he was exposed and will never wear a premiership medal.

13 kicks
9 handballs
2 tackles
7 clearances
4 clangers
I think those 4 clangers occured when he kicked the footy straight into the jam tin...
Will we pick up a player in the SSP window

I love X, as you all know, but I fear his soft-tissue problems, added to overcoming a knee injury, could just about end his career.
So sad. He would have been excellent yesterday; he thrives on those types of high pressure matches.
Keep him for another year, but that's it. He gets one final chance. Please take it, X...

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

dream on. dream on.Legendary wrote:Will play a crucial role as a small/running/shut down defender on opposition small forwards (aka Chapman, Johnson).
Will be crucial in this role, as he will be good at ground level in our backline, but can also spoil very well and lock down on an opponent. Has the pace to run with them.
ive seen this for 8 years now. when are people going to have a reality check.
he is slow
has no body strength
