I remember them saying that either last week or the week before was the first time in his careeer that Roo had kicked 4 per game 4 in a row ( I think that was it)
so does this now make it 5 weeks?

Riewoldt is only 3 off the lead in the Coleman race.

Between Roo, Kosi and Milney- 68 goals :)

Worth noting that Roo had flu all week as well and wasn't 100%.

kosi's really stepped up this season, hasn't he.

took some great strong grabs yesterday and our guys seem comfortable now with going to either he or riewoldt.

from memory he kicked pretty well, too.

i gave him BOG.

Yep. Fine effort by the skipper.

Lyon praises sick Nick

25/05/2009 12:10 PM
Paul Gough

St Kilda coach Ross Lyon has paid tribute to the courage of his captain Nick Riewoldt, whom he revealed got off his sick bed to play a key role in the Saints maintaining their unbeaten start to the AFL season in Round 9.

The Saints survived their toughest test yet in coming from nine points down halfway through the last term to beat Brisbane by 16 points on Sunday with Riewoldt starring with four goals, including a vital one from a tough set shot during the exciting final term.

Lyon said the four-time best and fairest winner was nearly a late withdrawal from the match, so sick had he been during the week.

"It was an enormous effort," Lyon said of Riewoldt's effort to not only play but then star in the Saints' ninth successive win to start the season.

"He wouldn't like me talking about it but he was in bed all week and didn't train and was unlikely to play for most of the week with a virus."

Lyon said as a result the Saints were forced to play their inspirational captain much closer to goal against the Lions for fear he would not last the game if he played in his usual free-roaming role at centre-half-forward.

"But he was always going to get out of bed for Lenny Hayes' (200 games milestone match) and he really nailed those last quarter goals so it was a great captain's game from him.

Brilliant stat kft23 !

To be honest I didn't believe it.
I went back and checked, particularly those glory days of 2004.

And yes Kosi and Roo have never fired on both barrels together before.
Let's hope this is the start of a new trend.
