Dempster

Post: # 737625Post older saint »

Has he had a set back as I am sure the other week on the ever reliable injury list sent to the AFL that he was a number of weeks away and not season?

If he has always been season I stand corrected.

I seem to remember him being quoted as "indefinite".
But I think the club was hoping to get a few games into him before the finals.

Before the game in an interview Ross said he was only 3 weeks away and has been doing full training for a while now. Kingy also said he (SK) trained with Sean and Maxy yesterday morning by themselves.

I heard several weeks ago that he was well ahead of schedule and apart from having to wait for dr. approval he would be bakc out there sooner rather than later.

So soon we might have a decision to make as isn't Zac evelated from the Rookie list to cover Dempster? Can he be swapped for other injuries such as X????

Depth, schmepth. There's some serious talent waiting in the wings atm, while our "no name" players are helping themselves & the team to some good results & records.

Interesting that Brent Prismall (not at Essendon) did his ACL the week after Dempster did his, and just played his first game in the VFL on the weekend...

So shows that this is about the time we should be seeing Sean back!

Great news!!! :D

He was never "season".

It has always been targetted for him to be back about middle of this season.

I have heard 3 weeks for Dempster but I was wondering when Miles was upgraded for him because Dempster must miss 8 weeks after that. Can anyone confirm when he was upgraded and if that is correct about missing 8 weeks.

I think he just meant that the physical injury list itself has never had him as "season", but for some reason, the injury list this week does (seen here: http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/ ... 42,00.html)

Great news to hear he is actually only a few weeks away though.

Does that include VFL footy? Perhaps the plan is to let him get some touch in the 2's for that period then bring him back in for the back end of the season.

Don't know, just speculating.

Not sure when Miles was elevated for him if that's the case, but the 8 weeks definitely includes exclusion from VFL as well - if you're fit enough to play VFL then you're fit enough for AFL selection, so the rookie must be "demoted".
