In my humble, over the last few years, we have been undone chronicly, by a lack of kickable goals missed, espeacially in the first quarter. Our confidence diminishes at every miss. It happened to Geelong in the final, if they had kicked what they should have, it should have been shut the gate at half time. And reversly we handled C/wood easily in the SF because we made the most of our ops. Easy shots must be nailed, if not, our mids will start thinking what's the point of busting me guts if they miss'em from 30 straight in front.
Rip in.

Re: Goal kicking accuracy
we miss gehrig. a very reliable kick for goal who was able to find the ball regularly.
the ability to convert is a hugely underrated part of being a forward.
defensive pressure has its place, but imo if you can't kick goals you shouldn't be anywhere near them.
