Baker puts lost year behind him

AFTER a lost year, Steven Baker will make his return on Friday, joining another five senior Saints to play their first pre-season games and give some early momentum.

The Saints will field almost a full list on Friday against the Western Bulldogs with Lenny Hayes, Justin Koschitzke, Leigh Montagna, Jason Gram and possibly Xavier Clarke all lining up in their first match against another team for the summer........

Sorely missed in the team last year.

Hopefully we can get a full year from him injury.

A welcome hard man back into the team.

What will be next from this club ?

They say he was back, but not fit enough at the end of the year to break out of the reserves. And then they say he had another operation at the end of the year. Now they are saying he could play about 40% of the game time. How long does it take someone to move back, towards much more game time? If he can't see through a whole game, it will be very hard to justify his selection when the real season starts.

Do you think he will be fit enough by the start of the home and away games?

I have him in my Supercoach team... I do like him as a player...
I really hope he gets back to 100%.

I hope he hasn't lost that technique where he stops abruptly and smashes his head backwards into a closely following oppostion player.

Love that move.
