New marketing channel

Post: # 688450Post Enrico_Misso »

Got a letter this week from the MCC.
I am a MCC member and must have filled out a survey at some stage indicating I follow StKilda.
The letter says that StKFC has approached the MCC to seek access to the "StKilda" MCC members.
It came with a form and return envelope to our marketing dept.
And the promise to follow up with some special offers.

I guess they will then try to sell me a StK membership.
Or maybe offer some other sort of deal - though not sure what !

I don't think there would be many keen StK supporters who are just MCC members as we play so few games there (as opposed to Melbourne/Richmond supporters).

But at least they are trying something.
And if it brings in a few new StKFC members then so much the better.

It's a bugger with stupid privacy laws that our club can't just obtain MCC Saints fans details, and mail us directly.

I doubt many MCC members that are Saints fans would mind....far better getting spammed snail mail about footy then bloody real estate agents that sold you a house years ago eh? I can't remember giving them authorisation to spam me ever couple of months!

I got the letter as well, but can't be bothered doing anything about it at this stage, as I have already purchased my 2009 Saints membership.

The first big difference between MCC St Kilda supporters and non MCC St Kilda supporters is that full MCC members get axcess to the grand final :D :D :D and both full and restricted members get axcess to other MCG finals.
The second big difference is the reciprocal agreement between the MCC and Telstra Dome's Axcess One.

An MCC member can book an Axcess One reserved seat on a match by match basis home or away for $29.50 all up.
These reserved seats are on Level 2 city side - like the club reserved seats that now require social club membership.
Booking early online and only completing the booking if you are offered a good seat can always produce a good view of the game. :D :D :D

Simple club membership means take what seat you can get on the day with all the good seats already taken.
Club membership with season reserved seat means you get an allocated reserved seat - the best are already taken. :( :( :(
Club membership with social club and season reserved seat means you can get access to level 2 but again allocated a reserved seat.

With season reserved seats some other bastard sits in your seat for away games.
You are forced to fend for yourself.

What this means is the club can not provide better ground entry and seating offerings for MCC members.
The club needs a different package that does not include ground entry or seats.
It will be good to see what they have come up with.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Gee I didn't realise the club was for sale. I had better put in an offer before Russell Crowe wakes up.

No, I drive a RAV4, am tee tottle, would prefer overweight, and definitely not efflluent.
MCC full membership only costs one tenth that of Medallion Club membership and I get to vote.
And not one cent of that membership money goes to pay Andrew Demetriou's exhorbitant salary.
Come the revolution comrade Rudd won't allow football at the MCG or the Dome, they will be required to execute misguided party members.

So Ace, all that remains is that you are a Todger-Tugger.

Nothing to worry about there, some of our most prolific posters are prone to a firm grip now and again.

You'll be OK as I'm sure there is a clause prohibiting members from Cranbourne :D

I'm positive there is.

You see, back in the bad old days, when the establishment wouldn't let people of the Jewish faith join their golf clubs, some prominent Jewish businessmen set up their own golf club out in Cranbourne.

Its tucked away behind a housing estate in Cranbourne West, and a fantastic course it is too. I don't think the "old money" MCC members have ever forgotton that impudence, and Cranny has been disrespected ever since.
