Max for one and even though people seem to disagree I thought Grammy was good. I just couldnt have a mid because that is where we lost the game.

Agree Bally was our best player tonight though, and I thought King was good as well, is he a mid?

Thought Max was great, Sam serviceable, Geary OK, Goddard OK and Gram OK, thought it was Gram's best since the NAB Cup actually.

The reasons the mids were ordinary was Joey, Dal, X and probably Schneider were very very ordinary. Lenno and Bally held them up to a certain extent, even Harvs was OK at best tonight.

Simple, just vote 5-4-3-2-1 as you saw it then in the SS Medal thread.

Surely not Ball.... He was poor tonight... really poor, and im really worried about his future.. No better than steve powell.. at best... 2 goals aside, he is real desperate in a non-damaging way..

votes tonight IMO
3-CHips
2-Hayes
1-Gilb

Special mention to BJ... And Kosi battled all night..

I think voting should be suspended this round.

Maybe a one vote and a two vote.
But none of our guys were remotely close to earning 5,4,3 votes.

The fact that Lenny and Bally were our two best midfielders with 15 disposals each just sums up how dirty a night it was for our midfield. No matter how good the defensive pressure you simply need more than 15 touches from your elite midfielders.

Agree with Plugger - midfield as a unit were a disgrace tonight - and I don't use that word lightly.

Midfield got smashed after quarter time....now way any mids could be in our best few.

Schneider was ok though...

Two bits of play summed up our night to me..

One was X who just trooted after two sprinting Dogs...who then easily gathered ball and had heaps of time to steady and deliver it back. Why was X not sprinting to pressure them???

Later in the game dal again just trotted along next toa Dogs player allowing him to easily take time to stead and deliver an accurate pas fora goal.

Why did Dal not run in and pressure him/

The Saints pressure in the first quarter...but after quarter time our mids were woeful.

The Dogs are quick and highly skilled....you cannot allow them to just run free.

5. S. Fisher - Brad Johnson had no impact
4. Goddard - enormous effort to play okay first game back in a poor team performance
3. Gram - tried to get us going running through the midfield. I don't expect him to play a 100% defensive game.
2. Ball - he tried hard and kicked 2 goals.
1. Roo - he tried hard also. Had three opponents on him 90% of the night but was still leading.

"When we get back on November 5 and walk through that door, we're getting on a bus together and we're going down the road to a premiership. You're either on the bus or you get run over," Roo at the B&F 2007

In 2012, I'm still on the bus.

3. Goddard (Very acceptable comeback game)
2. Lenny (At least was prepared to put is body on the line and tackle)
1. Ball (See above)
