The beep test was originally known as the beepin beep test.

Clayton Hinkley is obviously some kind of an athelete, can he play?

here is a quick transcript

could someone please tell me what was said as i cannot access the interview.

thanks

Said the value of having professionals in every area (at the camp) is important.

Says that his personal expertise is watching the boys play and judging their football ability.

Says that he gets up to speed from talking to the St Kilda’s P.E guys and that he likes them to come along (to the camp) to add that little bit extra.

Also mentions sport psychologist, says that he interviews the players however he isn’t trained in that area so he uses the sports psych to match up what he feels with them (the players/interviewees with what he (the psych) says.

It might be that we have two players pretty level and he (the psych) says look “on a personality profile I see this sort of thing and that will fit well in our structureâ€

Cheers SaintBot.

Sounds like he knows what he is talking about ... (I hope!)

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Carlton fans rejoice! Matthew Kreuzer not only ran a beep test that an onballer would be proud of (14.2), but he’s still growing! At the official measuring session on Day Two the lanky Northern Knight’s height was marked at 199.5 cm; that’s half a centimetre taller than the last time he was measured a few months back.
- That is bloody scary

FITNESS ASSESSMENTS
(Sprints, agility and vertical jump)

Scott Selwood – Bendigo Pioneers, VIC
“My vertical jump was a little disappointing. I didn't do a great jump. The agility and sprint tests were pretty good, so I was pretty happy with them.

“For the 20-metre sprint it was 3.02 seconds and for the agility it was 8.32 seconds, so they're not too bad and they're around the mark, so I'm pretty happy.

“Hopefully I can get them down a bit better. The agility test is probably my favourite one."
- Sounds like a guy who expects a lot from himself

THE footballs came out for the first time on day three of the camp as the boys were bussed to Ainslie Football Club for a morning skills session.

After two days of exhaustive physical testing and mentally draining club interviews the lads were delighted to be back doing what they do best.

The local club certainly rolled out the red carpet with the turf in excellent nick and the picturesque, tree-lined arena forming a magnificent backdrop on the bright Spring morning.

Beckham?????? Wtf
I find it hard to believe he would finish it considering Moneghetti's best is around 20 and Mottram's is 19.6!

Brendan Whitecross – Zillmere, QLD
“I've had quite a few interviews with clubs this week and it's been pretty good. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be – most clubs are pretty laid back about it all.

English Football star David Beckham and American Cycling Legend, Lance Armstrong are two of the very few people who can complete the beep test.

At lower speeds/ levels, athletes might be laughing or complaining about the ease of the test. However, things get quiet tough at about Speed 9, and by Speed 11 to 13, people are dropping out.

Not from Draft Camp but there are a number of 4-5minute video interviews with Matthew Kreuzer, Levi Greenwood, Jared Petrenko, Brad Ebert, Chris Masten, Leigh Kelly, Matthew Lobbe and David Beach as well as a few interviews with Vic country, Vic metro, SA, WA, QLD, Tas, NT and NSW.

Worth a watch, Brad Ebert is quite impressive with how he speaks however he seems very devoted towards Port Adelaide.

Cheers to westofmoorabbin.com for the link

Saints have been talking to this Joel Smoula.
Like all of those lads, Smouha has a huge upside for a prospective club. He has been interviewed by Geelong, Adelaide and the Saints, but at a listed weight of 80 kilograms, he has a lot of work to do in the gym.

A Diary from David Myers of WA on the camp. A future saint?
Dinner followed and then we had our first lot of interviews with the AFL clubs.

It was a bit nervewracking. Every club had their own room and most clubs would have six or seven representatives – sometimes more. The clubs all fired questions at you, which put you in the hot seat.

It's a pretty good experience and it gave you a good insight into how the clubs operate.

I spoke to Collingwood, Hawthorn, St Kilda and Melbourne.

They all asked fairly basic questions: Where do you come from? How many family members do you have? Where you go to school? What you get up to in your spare time? And then they ask you about your footy.

The clubs also asked about my strengths and weaknesses. You don't want to sound like a big head when you're talking about your strengths and you don't know whether to tell them about your weaknesses because it might change their opinion of you. They also threw in a few curly questions and you've got to think quickly and come up with a response.
