But as they are still rebuilding the last thing their brains trust would want is them winning too many games and missing out on a top 5 draft pick !
So at some stage a bit of tanking / list management will occur.

Come on, we were still 20 points up in the final term and we couldn’t stop them kicking the next 5 goals to zip.

The fact is we were terrible against the Hawks. Poor in virtually every area. Poor work rate, terrible decision making etc etc.

Not at all like the team we were watching in the first third of the season, not like the team that played against the Swans.

The Hawks look good, but we were MIA. We made it a practice game for them.

That's rubbish. Have a read of the first 10 pages of the match day thread vs Sydney if you want to get a feel of how we played

The Swans disposal efficiency was terrible. Their efficiency when going inside 50 was horrific. We showed resilience and fighting spirit, but that wasn't a polished game against a finalist contender

That's despite the Swans beating us at contested possessions. They also smashed us at clearances... even with Luke Parker missing

We probably played better for the whole 120 minutes in the game against Hawthorn, than we did for 120 minutes against the Swans. It's just that Hawthorn played champagne footy for the last 5 minutes of that game.

Same with us against the Swans. We had our purple patch in the last furlong and got our nose in front at the right time
