He might look like he stinks of ciggies, but he came with a good plan.
Looked like the 5 day break cooked us, too many bombs i50 when the game was on the line.

I'm sorry to have to say it, but I thought they both had significantly better games than Philippou.

Still not sure what you're saying. Perhaps another 50 posts making exactly the same point will make it clearer?

As I feared the cream came to the top. We will struggle against the good sides until we get a bit of height back in the forward line and tidy up the field kicking.

Shite tonight, Port were good, our Forwards were ordinary.

Maybe we are getting worked out and we can't play the game our way.

Will the Saints ever be classed as a good club ?

Forwards really struggled with ball coming in slower.
Really missed King tonight.
Threw Wood forward but we never looked like taking a mark in forward line.

They had a crack off a short break and came up short. Did anyone with half a clue think we were the top of the ladder team for the season.
You people potting them are as weak as p1ss. Hey Curly what was the free kick count, ya put z?

Just learn from this game is all I ask
In tough contested games like this you get a very clear look at players who will let you down in clutch moments

Paton - multiple times tonight, in the clear on the run hit a Port player lace out
Tim Membrey - slow decision making, poor contested and treacle slow
Cordy - experiment over imo

Guys who will take you there in these games
Sinclair - always composed
Steele - great goal under pressure
Clark - thought he ran all day
Owens - super effort dangerous all night

Learn from these games and use them to weed out players who in tight, tough finals will let you down - this imo is this season….weed out those who won’t take you there

I'm hardly one of his fans, but I noticed Paton do quite a few good things. What was wrong with his game exactly?

We got a great run. Still missed two that cost us goals.

Clark's best game of his career. If not for him we are 5 goals worse off tonight.

Structure: kicking long into the F50 requires a player to contest, no player to contest means an intercept mark to the opposition. No stat to the player who contests but no intercept mark.
I suspect RTB wishes Cordy was still on the ground in the last quarter. Bad entries V Bad management.
I suspect both...a game, like Collingwood, we should not have lost.

Both are poor with the ball. Byrnes got it 16 times while his opponent dominated.

Cordy never looked like taking a mark for 3 quarters
Membrey ain’t a contested forward and was just pushed off it way to easily

Call it as I see it
Paton was ordinary multiple times in the clear tonight
Here’s another tid bit that might not be popular….forward line looks more dynamic without Membrey in it..

Oh Pooh
Where were you.
He may be young and a first round draft pick but little more than a traffic cone.
Maybe you play him against North to get games into him but then he should be replaced.
Billings or Windhager would be better value.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.
