The Flux Report: Ro$$y's sayntas win Round 1.

But first. A very important Flux Community Service Announcement.

Any sayntas making the pilgrimage to Melbourne for the footy
need to be aware that in the great state of Victoria
it is now illegal
for you to give a Nazi salute, or, to look at the scoreboard at Dockedlands.

Guaranteed to work against Daughters of Beaches key forwards!

And /or (but not 'nor', right Nosh? ),

For when life just sucks.

As used and recommended by Scotty from Marketing, and saynt Nosher after watching the World Cup penalty shoot out.

What a great result!

Dare to dream Sayntas. :D

Fluxed up match report:
- Battle was superb in defence. As was Wilkie. And lets not forget Jimmy the Cat.
- One of Doogie's best games. Not as prominent as Battle or Wilkie, but didn't do much wrong. And, made sure their over supply of big blokes up forward hardly took a mark.
- Some absolute howlers from the scumpires. I've always said the 'deliberate out of bounds rule' is BS. And Clark's(no f******g 'e') knocking of the ball away from a Shocker player was a joke.
- Bybes played well, but on the telly at least, nothing like the mega break out game people have been gushing about. Still maintain that his kicking will curtail his career. Every time he gets the footy... he never looks like hurting the enemy. (That one 'bullet pass' into the forward line didn't look intentional to me.) Such a shame, as he had a great attitude, great endurance, and is lightning quick.
- A bit more size, endurance and strength for Mitchito and The Hammer, and... look out. (The Hammer seems the sorta' bloke who will never die wondering. 😃 )
- The ridiculous aerial dominance of their tall defenders. Going forward, such will not be the norm. Defenders will be too busy trying to spoil our marking forwards. Yet, even before that comes to pass... we still won that game...
- Big.Marmot..... plain and simple...... wrong! Cho aching is not overrated. Under the former retreaded cho ach we would have definitely lost that game. Clueless Alfred E Neuman c/f Ro$$y the Prick...? There is no comparison.
- Gresh needs to play predominantly up forward. But, when he pushes up the ground, he needs to be aware of, and take, the best option. Do that, and he'll take his game to that oft flirted with next level.

And not forgetting that the Purple Puke won 15.5 games last season, and were again in pretty much everyone's finals predictions for 2023.

So, when people say "Wait till we play one of the top teams"...

And now for an actual astute assessment:
True Believer wrote: Wed 22 Mar 2023 12:43pmWe got there, but about 10 minutes after it started. Sat up on level 3 in Aisle 10 (opposite the Moorabbin wing). Great view and plenty of good seats.

Byrnes - the kid can play, Pou - will be a star, Owens - will be a star, NWM - will be a star.

Structure - we have one now. Behind the ball is rock solid, as per any RTB team..

Transition/Ball movement - WOW!! this will improve but is light years ahead of last year! Clearly NWM has been told to take it on at any cost! As they bed this down and play it more it will get better but wait till we have a key forward over 18 years of age out there. Max King must have been getting aroused watching it out there yesterday, especially after the s*** sandwich he has had to eat so far on the end of our forward delivery! The overlap run and fast hands in close have clearly been drilled all summer.
Great review TB. 👍️

But, but, but... now we're confused.

Everyone's favourite furry retired suburban sporting legend and now internet forum shock jock, aka, Big.Marmit,
Image
assured us that cho aches (and hence game plans, structure, transition, ball movement, all that sorta' thing)... all are overrated. :?

And another actually astute assessment:

I was just saying in another thread that I believe Marshall and English almost nullify each other. I'd just push Marshall forward at all costs and let Cordy follow English forward.

If we concede ground to half back and our mids all spend the majority of their time attacking from defence, we will out run the dogs and control half the ground by drawing their defence out into our running traffic and/or going over the top to 2 on 2 structures, forcing turnovers or locking the ball in our half.

Steele to lock down on Bontempelli and Crouch goes head to head with Liberatore and a bit more ground time for Clark to get creative.

I'm just glad there is real interest in the game for me, again.

Now, that sounds like plan!

Yep.

Another leak.

Ro$$y addressing the boys.

We see where you're coming from here.

In that vein, would also add the following........
- Clark bloody Kent - 3 votes.
- Billy one man short Longer - 3 votes.
Both awarded votes for not participating!

Round 2 team:
Ae-ins: Windy, The Sharmanator (The Purple Puked wouldn't have taken all those backline marks if we'd kicked it high to him instead of Missy and The Butler :x ).

Ae-Outskis: Jimmy the Cat :( , The Butler, Clark bloody Kent (still can't be too sure  ).

Back to to the scumpiring and those joke 50's:

This is actually understandable, when, we have an American arseclown scumpire officiating and handing out 50'
to try to cover up the fact that he
doesn't know the bloody rules!!!

So, at the request of Loris and Curly (no f*****g 'e')......

Great community announcements, I've been wondering about the appropriateness of the Nazi salute so thanks for clearing that up Aeon.

It's like some of the 10 commandments such as thou shalt not kill, even as an atheist I'm glad they included that one just for those amongst us who aren't sure.

Good one. And Aaron is back.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
