I remember the day Farren absolutely took out Joel Selwood, huge hip at full pace.
Good player, and with a better tank than Hunter, but hopefully Clark will regain that 2020 poise and strength at the contest that had most pundits picking him to be in the next group of stars of the game.

Not quite how it happened.

Selwood dropped to his knees and slid into the contest. He should have stayed on his feet. Both players were attacking the footy and Farren turned his body to protect his head.
He was reported on the night but the MRP dropped the charge.

At the risk of incurring wrath… this response seems a bit over the top to me, which makes me think I’m missing something.

Yep, perhaps it was just late at night but my concern was that the comparison to Farren Ray was perceived as a denigrating criticism (i.e. the "ouch" comment). Farren was a good player and, apparently, is a good bloke. We should remember his time as a Saint and the significant contributions that he made.

If you're a Ross fan you'll be Farren fan, Ross took his game to another level and was probably one of the more trustworthy players when we were last a force.

Farren, like Hunter did a lot of gym work but some guys due to their physiology just don’t put on muscle.
Then you get guys like Windhager, Owens & Coffield that can really bulk up significantly.

Agree. Over the top and totally unnecessary.

The shame is on Stian for the unprovoked attack over a harmless joke.

It appears that by their own admission, Stian, the “wanderer” lost his way in the middle of the night.
