I would have love to have asked why we had such poor durability in 2021.

And why we were so generally unfit over the first three months of the season.

Bloke has the shortest legs I’ve seen on someone!

They’re as round as tree trunks but unbelievably short!!!

He’d be able to squat a shitload!!!

Here’s some advice
Get some size on Max King!!!

Yep it’s a good question red
Nice to hear it’s all positive environment etc but how can we have players who for the first half this season just didn’t look fit or conditioned and struggled to run out games

Not big on training.
Prefers recovery
Just go home and play video games or get some sleep so you can go out tonight.

Steele, Crouch or Dunstan

1 had to go

Who would you have shown the door to?

I can't reply to that without getting banned.
Except to say it was the guy whose fault it always is.

Not sure Crouch is really the answer.
Probably didn't need one more with "lifestyle issues" either, unless we wanted early replacement for Carlisle!

F’n hilarious that Dunny wasn’t deemed good enough and yet we go and recruit his clone from the Crows and pay him double

Letlean hasn’t been around that long and he has made some good calls, but I reckon the guy that should be under the microscope more than most is our CEO. He seems to be immune to criticism for some of the major blunders under his watch.

Finnis rubber stamped Richo’s extension prior to the end of 2017. Finnis is the one that ultimately gave the go ahead to get an injury riddled and suspect player (lifestyle issues again) in Dan Hannebery 3 years ago.

He’s the one that rubber stamped hanging onto a few older players for far too long (hoping that our rebuild was complete as if we were ready to be contenders in 2017 or 2018). I was confused when we recruited Nathan Brown at the end of 2016 ( who was struggling to hold on to his place in the Collingwood side that year).

How was St Kilda going to build a new team with younger players needing to step up and become future leaders when you virtually retain the same captain for over a decade?

He is also was the one who rubber stamped the Brad Hill deal where we were bent over by Freo and Peter Bell

…And if you want to go back to his first year…He was the one that rubber stamped the decision to recruit Paddy McCartin. Let’s be brutal here! If he was never going to get involved in football decisions, maybe he should have sought a position somewhere in business outside of an AFL club

Should St Kilda supporters be happy if we are in the wilderness again for a few more years and looking at another mini rebuild? Does Finnis and the board have such a strong hold on power within this club or are they totally impervious to scrutiny?

Not sure you understand the CEOs role?

Football dept decisions have been made by the the football dept
Simon Lethlean, Gallagher, Recruiting dept and Senior Coach
Along with Allen, Rath, O Shaughnessy

What could I possibly be asking?

Why did one of Steele, Crouch or Dunstan have to go?

Because Dunstan has had 7 years, can't kick, his running ability hampers both our offensive game and defensive structures and quite obviously he has a chip on his shoulder.

If we are to improve (at all) we need to change the mix. Someone had / has to go

Simple !! :D

Because you need a balance at stoppage and

There needs to be some speed and power.

Can’t even have 3 Patrick Cripps - you need a Sam Walsh

Can’t have 3 Clayton Oliver’s - you need a Petracca

There needs to be a burst speed in your midfield set up

I'd settle for 3 Olivers any day of the week.

I read this thread as I often do with Benny Hill music playing in the background and it made so much more sense

We beat Brisbane in Queensland and smashed Richmond at the ‘G with that setup. I guess they didn’t realise it wouldn’t work.

Would you rather 2 Clayton Olivers or Oliver and Petracca?

Would you rather 2 Patrick Cripps or Cripps and Walsh

We need Steele and Gresham to become our key pairing
