Should you be saying with our first pick

“With the right development he might become a player?”

OK, at pick 25 do you pick what you need or who is best?

Unless there's an obvious drifter from round one. Is round two best available now or best available with development or simply a position requiring filling?

Top 10 is definitely best available. Maybe Top 25, is that realistic or still playing with fire?

I get a bit sick and tired reading posts by self proclaimed experts who repeat ad nausium that the Saints don't develop their players, That is pure unadulterated brown smelly stuff.

I have long since given up on counting or noting the number of times that crap jumps up in threads.

Quite often that unearned label is dumped on Richo who was noted for his ability as a teacher for f***'s sake,

Two interesting points...

You were counting crap that jumps up in threads, WTF, that's a massive abacus you own!

Just because someone is noted as a teacher does not mean you can develop them when your role is the main coach in an AFL team. All reports suggested he was was great with youth prior to being the senior coach. His record with us suggested his coaching role impacted on his true ability.

Saynta the club and player development has improved ten fold since Richardson has left. He may have been a good teacher behind other more positive coaches eg Hinkley. But he was too wound up in what players couldnt do when he had the main gig himself.

Improved 10 fold has it? Yet you have still been highly critical of player development this year,

I don’t think it’s much of a stretch to suggest development has improved since AR left. Hindsight alone demonstrates that.

He actually played the first three quarters, and the best thing was that at no time did he have any work on his hammies or calf!
