The skeleton of a good team....

Post: # 1903423Post Banger9798 »

B: Paton Howard Wilkie
HB: Coffield xxxxxxx Sinclair
C: Billings Crouch Clark
HF: Gresham xxxxxxx Jones
F: Membrey King Higgins
R: Marshall, Steele, Bytel
I/C: Battle, Byrnes, Butler, xxxxxx

Taking out all the older players, including Hill, the oldest on this list is Membrey who still has 3 good years left.

Most have 4-7 year Windows

We need CHF, CHB, a second Ruck, 2 mids and depth.

We have to be brutal, and go for a semi rebuild.

May as well play what few kids (Connelly, Byrnes, Clavarino, Joyce etc) we have now and see if there is anything there, Hanneberry, McKernan, Geary, simply have to go, list clogging now.

Skeletons don't have a heart or any guts.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

And our 2nd rounder would be pick 20 or 21 if we hadn’t offloaded it.

I think we could start with a team team of good skeletons.

Maybe the club knows where we r at??

Good players that will play in our finals team

Marshall
King
Battle
Gresham
Coffield
Bytel
Crouch
Hill
Byrnes
Howard
Clark
Steele
Billings
Higgins
Wilkie
Long
Membry
Sinclair

We need to build on that
So at least 10-15 more players
5 of those coming in need to be excellent
2 have to be elite if we r any chance of a premiership

The Average age of those guys is 24. So we won’t be any good till those 18 listed are average 28-29
And the next 10-15 on the list are 18-24yr olds

So that’s another 4 years

So if we get our recruiting and trading right in the next 2-3 years we are a shot at top 4.

That’s the cold hard facts unfortunately.

I hope that skeleton has a halo on top.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Talk about denial. Just look back at the floggings this year. We are so far from being good even NDIS feels sorry for us. Board phone calls tonight and tomorrow might pick up on that point and think about what furniture to save. Can't kick goals, can't win stoppages, can't field kick, can't defend. I wish there was a skeleton. Did we all notice those, to use the phrase loosely, shots for goal early: Membrey, Byrnes and McKernan I think; three hopeless under 10 shanks. There is something fatally wrong with the collective & individual basic skills and where their heads are at. Heaven help us, who is running the joint.
