Every player has to go when it’s their turn to put their head over the ball, that should be a non-negotiable, no matter what a few of the casuals say.

He ran and presented all game though it wasn't as if he wasn't trying.

Is it Brad Hills fault we are paying him as much as he’s on?

He is out of form, no doubt. To suggest he’s not trying is a huge call!

IMHO, Hill is not going well in terms of output/dollar paid. But team selection is based on output not output per dollar. On that ground, I would have quite a few below Hill in each of the last 2 weeks. Clearly his kicking was down but he was working pretty hard to get to positions and to play the role he is supposed to.

I don't doubt for a moment that he is not trying but complacent probably . Unfortunately we are all creatures of habit when we are comfortable we take things for granted & its not till the sh-t hits the fan we realise we need to dig deeper. Hopefully the penny has dropped not just for Brad but the whole team

Maybe someone should tell him that every bloke with a St Kilda jumper on has to put their head over the ball when it’s their turn, no matter what their salary or what they were allowed to get away with at previous clubs.

For all the critisism, I think Brad is being presented with high degree difficulty targets as those ahead of him don't anticipate and/or separate from opponents. We don't have many players that can win 50/50 contests so its not clear to me why they don't separate and present a leading target (too slow, pace wise and mentally?).

Defenders are on to it. If Hill has the ball St Kilda players lead towards him. Stick with them.

Bascailly Fyfe could make anyone look good and that has become apparent. Going after big name players jsut passd their prime has now got to be seen as a flawed plan. A few bright sparks are that Hanners is done at season end adn HIll has some skills but he nees to train on his kicking and pretty much nothign else until he gets that working for him

It comparing myself to Hill, but once I thought I could bowl, then, inexplicably on the big stage I lost all control of my line.

Captain was a decent guy, and they kept bowling me, assuming if get into the groove.

I didn’t. We lost. I lost it. Lost my marbles. Felt like sh:t for it. The more they were being nice to me by allowing me to bowl, the more pressure, I don’t know.

Awful.

Please don’t drop Hill.
Put him in a pocket - a forward pocket. I know his ability is to run, and the pocket might crank him , but let home run and chase. Run down those running defenders, tackle them, then use his slick skills to pick up and deliver sweetly.

You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

If he could be encouraged to run down and tackle opponents that’d be ace, but all he does is defensively lope and coralle. He needs a Malthouse type rocket, like the one that was delivered to Don Pyke. It turned him from a soft player into a hard one.

At least Hill is fit and he fronts up and at least he attempts to earn his keep. We wouldn’t be having these discussions if the team was going well and we were winning

I like Bradley. I don’t think it’s purely his fault that the team is struggling, but fans are always going to vent and look for scapegoats.

I couldn't agree more but he doesn't care enough at the moment and needs to get his head out of his arse. His past matters for zero right at the moment if he can't do the basics and give effort and tackling.
