Was at a dinner last night with one of the Suns Directors.
He had little trade info on the Saints other than below.

Peter Wrights management contacted the Saints as Peter knew we were looking for ruck forwards and the Suns would trade him cheaply. We knocked it on the head very quickly as he is on a salary of over $500k.

Wright will go to Bombers for a 3rd round pick.

He said the only other Saints news he’d heard is the Higgins deal is far from dead and the Saints are going really hard for him.

He reiterated what Ben Kings family have said and that is Ben is going nowhere and will see out his contract. He said the young guys are really tight and if they make finals they expect them all to extend their contracts. He said the price on Max King would be too high and uniting the brothers at GC is not even in discussion, it is just fan fantasy musings.

I know it’s a fun dream, but I don’t think we’ll ever see Ben King at St Kilda.

If the Kings turn out to be as good as they’re looking, the cost will be way too high.
