Would love to see a little more courage in how how he throws his body into a tackle....
But that said.... he’s an outside running machine who I agree we’ll use him better over time
Disposal is normally great
I was more disappointed with midfield clearance tonight.....and the coach has mentioned it 3 times since the game ...15-5 difference...
Marshall was owning the hit outs in the first quarter but fumbles & poor decision making just kept handing it straight back to them. We were undermanned & I accept that & the second half effort was very pleasing & who knows what it might have been if we applied ourselves a little better in the fist half

A shocker tonight, was exposed, was embarrassed. I hope that will be pointed out & we see an improved version next season which can only help us reach Top 4.

Do not let Hannebery escape, exactly the same. Between the two we had $1.6 million worth of Fiora. Both are so much better, we need them to be so much better.

Marshall was showing Nankervis how to tap it to the Richmond mids, or so it seemed.

Every footballer, no matter the ability of level, needs to put their head over the ball when it’s their turn.

Someone should tell Brad.

Like x 1 million.
The two worst trades since Lovett and Freeman!
Did one of those footywire comparisons between Hill and Newnes and they came out almost identical!
bar for disposal efficiency...
Newnes' was significantly better!

Brad would be embarrassed if he watches replay. Looked like he knew he was weak at the end. Its a dilemma for the Club now - is he given licence not to bruise himself but others have to do trench warfare. Culture will suffer if a blind eye is turned to his lack of physicality and I doubt he can change.

I don't expect him to bust packs or be an in side player that's not his game but don't toe poke a ball that you can actually pick up because your afraid you might get hurt

About the right size for AFLW, but would find some of the dykes quite intimidating!

Some of tonight was bizarre.

I get the running machine. I get and see the skilled delivery. I get all that.
But. When it's your turn to go for possession under threat of physical harm you can't turn it up and deliver pea hearted pissweakness. Not in a last chance final.

Acres is the running machine we had and didn't appreciate/nurture ... ask any player whose tackles he's easily broken through.
Freo got the best out of Hill and they are now getting the best out of Acres!!

This typifies St Kilda and its poor decision making ... it's not just confined to the playing field.

We had "Acres" of green pastures to nurture, but we thought the grass was greener over the "Hill."

Typical/lazy/unimaginative/wasteful St Kilda ... we never learn.

I'd sooner take Acres into a final.

We have Hill who got us into finals and to win one. Hill has also come into a team at the worst season for a new recruit.

Why was it such a shock? I had a feeling that this would happen and we’d be second to the footy.

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=101587&p=1876189#p1876189

We had no Ryder spoon feeding them. We have a worn out and burnt out Steele (who may have also started sipping from his own bathwater) an underdone Hannas and Jones and a shallow skinny midfield lacking any bulls of the Cripps/Mundy/Dusty/Hopper/Wines variety.

I don’t think we played to our best and not many teams would have because we obviously didn’t have our best 22 out there. Battle was brave and I hope he hasn’t got a stress fracture to any bones in his foot.

I also had a feeling that the extra day break that the Tigers enjoyed and the lack of travel and sleeping in familiar beds could mean our guys were slightly off.

Easy to play lots of games if you continually squib contests, eh Curly?

He might think so. It’s his choice isn’t it.

Yeah I suppose. If he keeps getting picked, could even get to 400!
