Changes v Swans

Post: # 1855046Post Jacks Back »

Out
Parker
Hind

In
Hannebery (if fit obviously)
Lonie

We are doing quite well but it's those bottom 3-4 players that aren't doing so well.

Personally I would go unchanged whilst monitoring the Hannebery situation. Given his fragility, I’d still err on the cautious side.

Be interesting to monitor the Ross situation. Looked quite sore in the end and sat out once the game was in the bag with an ice pack strapped to his ankle or calf.

Ross hurt his calf so surely rest him for Hanners if fit. Maybe Bytel if Hanners not ready. Lonie in for Parker.

Ross has a sore calf, so I expect Hannebery to come in for him.

Battle in for Parker

Yeah Parker has had a long lay off. Need to give them all a block m of games to see where they're at unless they have an absolute stinker next week.

My guess would be Battle in for Ross. I'd expect minimal change after a win like that.

think ross needs a reset. give him a break and see how he comes back. just playing very ordinary footy atm. we do need to rotate so may see more changes. parker not ready so maybe battle and bytel in for them.

battle or Byrnes in based on the hanners news.

Perhaps both for two of ross, parker, geary or Kent.

Yes one option.

Though how has Bytel been going?

Byrnes and Bytel are some our only young players that were recruited as mids who were already mids. If Ross is out then Swans game might be a good chance to debut Bytel and to try him out with some midfield rotations.

Our midfield does not run that deep, and if Hanners is now gone long-terms we need some Plan Bs.

Okay. Hind stays in for now (I note people want to give a few games to the players coming in but Byrnes didn't get that chance - in a winning side I might add).

Battle can't come in for Parker as that would make us way too top heavy.

Battle for Ross and Lonie for Parker with a reshuffle of the centre players.

Might have to move Hunter Clark there prematurely. We have Robertson/Savage who can play half back.

You are not kidding...!

How many times were Kent and Parker picked last year, way, way past the point of evidence?

Coffield too.

I like Parker (but like Kent was selected way too long in '19) and I don't know HInd. Living O/S and I only have radio like SEN to inform me.

Nothing on the radio I heard tonight suggests that Lonie IN, and Parker or Kent OUT would be a bad move.

It’s a tried and true formula... player comes in, has opportunities to prove himself, he either improves and stays in or doesn’t/falls away and is replaced until next time.
What’s really harmful is when players stay in over an extended period despite really poor form... or as I like to call it, the Richo formula
