Those I would see lining up for Round 1, 2020 would be:-

Carlisle, Coffield, Clark, Battle, Billings, Gresham, Membrey, Bruce, Marshall, Acres, Steele, Hannebery, Wilkie and Dunstan

To that I would hope we add King and Bytel

Plus our first round Draft Pick - or who we trade it for

From there it is fingers crossed for Roberton and McCartin (given they remain on our List)

So that is 17 (excluding Roberton and McCartin)

That leaves our Achilles Heel, being the bottom 5 heading to 22

When you put these 17 (or 19 in a perfect world) into positions you identify the demographic deficiencies

Given the opinions on here that Steven is “gone” I have excluded him from the above

And I have excluded that we should demand a player with the same profile at Geelong as Steven has at St Kilda (so an automatic inclusion in our side also addressing a demographic deficiency)

Geary, Wilkie, Ross are definitely walk up starts

B King won’t be at StK in 2020

Brad Hill is the hardest runner and probably best wingman in the afl... pretty sure he won’t line up in a Forward pocket

Went from the names above - so left Ross out

Need to get him running toward the goal not toward the flanks but that gets us one player closer to 22

Then we need depth because injuries are a fact of life - even in the game of flanneled fools in the mid day sun

I agree they play. But who do they replace? Z Jones is the most obvious out for Seb. Who misses out for Wilkie? And you didn't mention Savage.
