We know for all of Richardson’s reign we’ve been deplorable at bringing the ball into fwd 50 effectively - yes we get lots of entries...for lots of bombing rebounds and junk going in.....
The system isn’t right imo hasn’t been for a very long time and after 6 years it’s time
I’ve said it in the past and sadly it’s where we’ve ended up......treading water, mid table side.....not quite as bad as Carlton smidge better than Suns but not really making anyone in the 8 panic...
We have the 4th worst percentage at the moment.

I remember a poster on the very original Saints forum in 1996 - 1997 called EMT.
A few posters thought EMT was female but it was actually a guy.

Yep. I do. Glass have full, glass half empty. EMT, opposite of Full. It was how I felt at the time.
I think a lot of saints supporters had an empty feeling after the grannie lost to the crows in 1997.
Expectations were high, we were the favorites and the mongrels won.

rogerWA used to give the club an almighty spray, but managed to do it without ever being insulting. I always admired that! If I remember correctly, roger is the brother of Loris. I think he had a heart attack, and GT turned up at the hospital to visit him?
I do miss Eastern, he was a legend and a genuine good guy who regarded every post as an offer of a shout at the footy. RIP Tom

I actually met rogerWA several times when the Western Saints booked a pub to show the game here in Perth, before Foxtel really took off with AFL.
Our last meeting was at least 10 years ago.
Wonder what he's up to now.
He used to duck outside for a roll-your-own ciggie at the end of each quarter
He lost interest in the Western Saints because he thought they lost their original "everyman" type of
familiarity, he didn't like the newer version.
He wasn't grumpy as such, he was a lot of fun to have a beer with, trust me

I can't recall having too many barneys with the esteemed Ms Krabb but good old B4E and Ms Krabb had some absolute pearlers.
Eastern (may he rest in peace) loved the Spur and Nanna chronicles. Then you had the wit of Bungiton (Get a real Jacket) and wisdom of Aussierulesok.
That was definitely the golden age.
