Re: Brilliant for us that Bolts is gone....
I strongly disagree. Gresham is getting better but still tries to do everything by himself and if he ever learns how to deliver a drop punt that spins even remotely correctly to our forwards' advantage ... that'll make a huge difference. At the moment - he's just a big of a serial bomber as the king of the midfield spuds himself (aka Ross).tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Mon 03 Jun 2019 3:48pmGresham and Billings are A grade for us.whiskers3614 wrote: ↑Mon 03 Jun 2019 3:46pmSo you are conceding they have at least twotedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Mon 03 Jun 2019 3:43pm McGovern and McKay...please. Cripps is getting banged up from being no 1 and tagged and the Curnow brothers are overrated.
Walsh will be good.
But I don't care about the Blues, I follow the Saints.
please list any A graders we have!
Cripps is their only A grade player.
As for Billings - I love watching him play ... when he plays. He's a serious talent. But - genuine A-graders do not completely dissapear like he did at 3/4 time against the Pies. Once he gets that out of his game - he's closer to an A grader than anyone else on our list.

Re: Brilliant for us that Bolts is gone....
The only thing Richo has brought to the club is stability, because he doesnt upset anyone. When you dont have expectations of winning you are not likely to. Otherwise he has been a complete failure with an inability to improve the team skills, competitiveness or attractability to outside players.
His public persona is as boring as Bill shorten and he I believe he has a weak trait of blaming others or the club for his own short comings. Our season is shot we wont be playing finals and cant compete with the better teams the sooner we sack him and put Ratten in the main role the better.

It’s a good start.
Ratten went at 52.5% winning in 5 full seasons as Carlton coach, making finals 3 times and 10 wins being his worst season. He got sacked off an 11-11 season because the Blues had a hard-on for Malthouse.
To say he’s done nothing is ridiculous.

Nice.
Still awaiting a decent answer from you. But... true to form... you resort to utter crap when you have no decent response.

I’d respond to your post by calling you what I think of you, but I’d be banned for a year and then I couldn’t keep up the pressure on Cho.HighettMan wrote: ↑Mon 03 Jun 2019 8:25pmDoes your Mum know you are on the internet.ss1986 wrote: ↑Mon 03 Jun 2019 8:20pmYou’d only need to talk to your mushrooms to keep them fertilised.HighettMan wrote: ↑Mon 03 Jun 2019 6:16pmI'm a mushroom farmer and I specialise in manure grading, I've got a natural talent for being able to tell how old manure is by just smelling it. Re: Brilliant for us that Bolts is gone....
Could you clowns stop quoting three quarters of the damn thread in your attempts to one up each other? Poor form.
Carltons biggest error in the past twenty years was getting rid of Ratten. The board seriously overrated their list at the time and thought that Malthouse was the messiah. Their list was average. Malthouse had a shyte old time with it.
Our next senior coach should be someone experienced. Ratten ticks the boxes. He did the job at over 50% with a pretty average list and then went with the Hawks through their glory years. That hawthorn gamplan is pretty much done with now and any "IP" has been muddied by all the assistant coaches that have spread throughout the comp. The guy knows how to coach though.
If Ratt's could come up with a plan for the next five years I would be happy with offering him five years straight off the bat. If we tail out poorly over the next eight weeks I would be really wanting to move sooner rather than later.

Re: Brilliant for us that Bolts is gone....
I tend to agree with you Bigred.
I think Ratts was a pretty good coach at Carlton but was bumped out by the Malthouse-mania at Carlton and unrealistic expectations regarding their list.
I like Richo as a person and I’ve been prepared to give him a chance over time but the last 2 years with no improvement, no gameplan and basically no idea has lost my support - he’s got to go.
Go Saints!

Re: Brilliant for us that Bolts is gone....
How many times do we all need to reiterate - the pressure on Richo has nothing to do with the bloke himself as an individual (who seenms a really likeable bloke).... but everything to do with his (in)ability to extract the best from this playing group?
Those fierce defenders of Cho seem to think this is a person witchhunt. Id rather lead the witch hunt on Finnis... useless as he is.
