Did the Saints pass on Yeo a few years back?

I heard that monkey spanker of a Saints hater Brereton on the radio earlier floating some rumor that Yeo wanted to come to St Kilda rather than WCE and we thought he wasn't a good fit for our needs. KB pulled him up and called him out on putting the boots into the Saints, but I am curious as to whether anyone has any inside intel that this actually happened?

Or can I just hate Brereton a tiny bit more for having an unsubstantiated pot shot?

Yes, I know I'm being precious about the Saints but that's just the way I roll. Hope Tigers smash Hawks tonight and Dermie falls out of the commentary box and cracks his enormous head.

Still makes my blood curl about how that situation was handled. I was a child and could tell what happened.

Brereton wrote a, self promoting, puff piece in 1998 on Winmar. He was apparently a player that could be put off his game. And Dermie was given free reign. He wrote that. He actually wrote that. Only 2 or 3 players were allowed to verbally belittle players like Nicky Winmar.

In 2018 think about the fact that people were not only free to vilify someone, but that someone in power actually authorised it. Crazy.
