Armo, Gilbert, Weller up north for GCS's first pick. I'd take that. (And in their position, they may well consider it) But I'd really be trying to trade up to Pick 1. May take the 3some to GC for pick 2, and pick 2 and Savage to Carlton for pick 1; snaffle up Lekacious or dangle him in front of the Adelaide clubs to see exactly what they'd be prepared to give up. Adelaide's first pick and McGovern for pick 1 (Lekocious).

You either turn multiple players into high picks (if you want quality kids) or high picks into multiple players (if you need that).
I say we need to be ditching multis and chasing high picks... which we may choose to dangle around or not... as the right price.

We need to also remember, that the start of our resurgence in 04-05 (when he could, injury excluded, won 2 flags)... we got Roo, Kozi, Ball, NDS, Joey, Z Clarke, Goddard, and Hayes and Jones were already there, but that all started with the recruitment of 7 experienced players, out of which 3 were guns: Hamill, Voss, Gehrig. This time around we went for the run of kids over three drafts first... now let's go grab the stars. Except in FA... the starts don't wanna come. So..... we should done this the opposite way around.

Hi,

St.kilda made a play for Aaron Hall, prior to him resigning awhile ago.
I would be confident st.kilda will make another big play for him this time around.

Cheers.

Not sure if groupie is kidding.
Hope so.
GC would not want those three on their list if we offered them for free. Forget pick 2.

As for Savage. What the hell are Carlton going to do with him?

Market update.

Richo's comments on Goddard have put him out of contention and bought midfield and half forward players to the fore.

Jacob Townsend is an interesting one, would he meet some needs? Is he gettable?

Paul Seedsman is gettable at a guess and a perfect needs-based fit.

Dan Hannebery has entered the market but a bit to play out yet so starting at longish odds.

McVeigh slides a little because he is a defending mid and the coach has made it clear we are all good in that department however can he be used predominantly in the middle is the question, so odds are still priced to attract some money on him.

Luke Dahlhaus is another interesting one. His odds have shortened just because he's still seemingly available and is a needs-based fit.

The market on Gaff remains put.

5.50 Paul Seedsman
8.50 Aaron Hall
10.00 Jacob Townsend
16.00 Jarrad McVeigh
20.00 Luke Dahlhaus
20.00 Nic Newman
25.00 Dan Hannebery
25.00 Andrew Gaff
35.00 Ed Langdon
35.00 Jarrod Polec
150.00 Adam Cerra
1000.00 Brendon Goddard

Who or what have I missed?

And with out luck - some recruiter will f@rk it up and call Aaron Hamill and he will be available in 2 weeks.

gday Cairnsman
I shoudl have asked a lot earlier
are these odds just general odds for a trade
or the odds that stkilda will get them ?
I would think they are two very different markets

Think you’ll find that Shiel to Essendon is a smoke screen by the Dons. Steven May a big chance for the Dons

Interesting. That would really hurt. I went to the GC vs Lions game last week and May stood out as a leader and enforcer.

Hurley and Hooker you would think have the KPs down back unless they are looking for a hooker replacement to release him up forwars permanently
