Oh SP, if only you were wrong, but you are sooooooo right.

"Is this the right room for an argument?"

"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Jaxons told us the truth.

tony74 bullshitted as usual and gave us the pollyana media spin. AR also bullshitted in his AFL.com.au interview.

Richo was hopeful that Freeman would play in JLT 2. “Faux” pre season integrity and all...

"He'll certainly play VFL footy (in the pre-season) and he's a chance to play in the JLT series," St Kilda coach Alan Richardson told AFL.com.au.

That was 12 Feb. and here we are now..

Gershwin wrote:St Kilda CEO Matt Finnis has confirmed luckless recruit Nathan Freeman will undergo hamstring surgery and faces up to 12 weeks before even being considered for a senior debut.

“Surgery means he won’t be running for about four weeks and then from that point there he will need to work into fitness, so it could be about Round 4 or 5 before he comes back in the VFL,” he told SEN’s KB and The Doc.

Given Freeman has not played a senior game since being drafted in 2013, the odds he does not play senior football are shortening by the week. Freeman’s three-year deal ends at the end of this season.

A six-week block of games after returning in Round 5 means the earliest the 22-year-old could be considered for senior footy would be mid-year. By then the relative success, or failure, of the team could dictate what chance he does, or does not, get.

Given the poor bloke's history, this is hardly good news.

I don't know if he'll make it, but, and even with his history, this latest setback is hardly the end for Nathan.

And whether he makes it or not, bloody well good on us for giving it a whirl!!! :D And long may we continue to take these calculated punts.

Stay bold Saintas!!!

amazing and quite reassuring in a weirdway, that someone can last five years in a career without once having done the thing they were employed to do.

Depends on how far back he has to start and how fast he can run!

You've never worked in Canberra or the Federal Public Service.

At this stage I am hoping that Freeman doesn't have any long term damage. Seems like a lot of surgery for a young guy who has a lot of life yet to live

Hopefully he's now on the right track to having an injury-free season.

INJURY-RIDDLED St Kilda midfielder Nathan Freeman will begin running on Thursday ahead of a planned comeback in six weeks after surgeons found a defect in his hamstring.

The 22-year-old was operated on a fortnight ago.

"The good news is they found a bit of a defect there and repaired that. He's probably six weeks away from playing," St Kilda head physiotherapist Andrew Wallis told saints.com.au.

"He starts running on Thursday, so he's pretty upbeat about that. He hasn't actually missed too much training, so the good news is his conditioning is right up there."
