The official "Jade Greshem" superstar post!
Mark my words right here and now boys & girls.
By the end of the 2018 season, the superlatives and gushing praise etc from the forum/media/everywhere will make some of us think we have another Dusty in the making.
I'm not saying he'll be at a Dusty level in 2018 - that will come but not until the 2020 season, but he will be showing that elite A grade level in many games throughout next season.
I just having that feeling in my bones!!!

He will be a Boomer Harvey type, but less goal hungry. The kids has heaps of talent. I reckon he is our best draft pick since the Richo era has begun.saintspremiers wrote:Mark my words right here and now boys & girls.

WE have known that he will be our pocket rocket for a while now - his vision and evasive skills are second to very few - and he is so silky with his use - and that is when he is not being the X factor.

I'd be adding Sinclair to that list. Reckon he's also going to be a gun. I was only talking about him yesterday to one of my clients who is an ex AFL player and he has massive wraps on him.parkeysainter wrote:He will be a Boomer Harvey type, but less goal hungry. The boy was always going to be gun. I bet there are a lot of embarrassed recruiters out there who let him slip to 18. I predict a similar scenario for Jack Higgins. Gresh 2.0.

I like Jade but to be honest he's behind Milne at the same age.

Love this post - Jade is special, have been so impressed. Is he the best kid drafted and immediate performance since 2000/2001? A long time.
5 goals against the Tigers, vision, reading of the game, that goal against Geelong. He's going to be even more awesome still once he hits mid 20s.

Milne took a while to become sensational.
He showed little glimpses but was inconsistent.
I would suggest that advances in training methods and sports science, since Milne started,
has helped Gresh come on quicker

Jade debuted at age 18. Milne came from the Bombers and started in 2001 as a 21 year old. He had shown some highlights with Essendon; Jade's first game was 2 years younger than Milnekosifantutti wrote:Milne kicked 77 goals in his first two seasons. I thought you were talking about his AFL form. But I must admit I’m a little lacking in my knowledge of the week to week form of the Essendon reserves team at the turn of the century.WellardSaint wrote:Jade debuted at age 18. As a goalsneak, yes. Milne was in a class of his own as one of those.Waltzing St Kilda wrote:I like Jade but to be honest he's behind Milne at the same age.
But I have a feeling Gresh is going to spend far far more time in the midfield than Tiprat ever did.
That's where he will make his mark and we'll have made a massive mistake if he is pigeon-holed as mainly a small forward.

Fair enough. Jade is younger. Maybe he'll become as good as Milne this year.Spinner wrote:Waltzing St Kilda wrote:I like Jade but to be honest he's behind Milne at the same age.

But I never cease to be amazed about the extent to which AFL fans -- even St Kilda ones --
underrate Milne's brilliance.
If Gresham reaches those levels I'll be thrilled.

Re: The official "Jade Greshem" superstar post!
Superstar had an abductor release operation.
I don't like the sound of that so early in his career.
I am no medic but I associate abductor releases with osteitis pubis.
But maybe I am wrong.
