Smokie or bolter.

Saints have interviewed him

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/boy-f ... 812a448d99

"HARRISON Petty was largely unknown in football circles a year ago.

Word had filtered through from Norwood that the boy from the bush had talent but he was little more than a blip on the radar of AFL clubs.

“I must admit that I didn’t know too much about him at all,’’ SANFL high performance manager Brenton Phillips said.

“It was only when I saw him play for Norwood’s under-18s early this year that I quickly realised he was a reasonable sort of talent.’’

Some talent all right."

3rd rounder maybe.

Not a lot of love for Jack Higgins on BF. A few quotes I read... granted they’re from early to middle of the year

“I don't know what to make of Higgins. On the one hand he has an outstanding work rate, racks up the footy with ease and can be dangerous around goal but on the other hand from what I have seen of him his disposal can be poor and I feel like he lacks a standout attribute that will serve him well at AFL level hence I find it hard to agree with those who see him as a potential top 5 pick. Perhaps he'll be a Sam Mitchell or Touk Miller type? Despite being small and lacking a standout attribute they are just really smart, clever footballers who rack up the ball all day/night long. I need to see more of him this year to get a better idea of where I stand with him”.

“Don't agree. Doesn't work hard enough to defend. He did a lot of chip kicks today especially in the first quarter which were terrible, his KE is normally high because of his little chip kicks. His lack of speed worries me for when he reaches AFL level.”

“Higgins was Oakleigh's leading disposal winner on Sunday - but his inside 50 & rebound 50 numbers are always so low. Shows you that he chips them around and they dont penetrate going forward for example. Whereas someone like Noah Answorth had six inside 50s from his 19 disposals.”

“Improving his inside work I hear. Had 15 tackles on the weekend which is astounding. Only 10 handball receives from his 29 touches and 10 of his possessions were contested.
Reckon he will continue to improve throughout the year as he is being well coached at the Chargers”

“He's short, slow and can't jump.”

It's settled then. We're taking him at No. 7.

"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Listening to Andrew Brayshaw on SEN....very impressive young man.

He and his brothers do 100x100M sprints every Christmas morning!

Happy to get him if he us still there at pick 7

Bonar and Cerra according to the experts (in the absence of Emma Quayle)

Looks like we’d like Brayshaw but he will be gone by then.

Bonar makes me a bit limp reading he has had two ACL’s already.

I am very much in to Coffield.
Why not take Hamish Brayshaw with a later pick?

Sounds like a shorter version of Cripps. We need an extractor. Greg Williams was a short arse. Height doesn't guarantee you anything.

I would be ecstatic if that was the case...

Just can’t see Cerra being there... most phantoms I’ve read have him going no later then 4, couple have him as high as 2

If we got him and Brayshaw I’d be happy but if Brayshaw was gone then sure, have a punt on a guy like Bonar

Naughton looks talented, also - a strong mark, and appears to have good run and carry - and is not listed in the poll.
(I'm not saying he should be).
So our 7 and 8 picks should be very good players - and better be (our recruiters need to get it right - and there's no excuses if they don't).

Kinda like Goddard but much faster.

Heard his Mum is a very good cook and his Dad is a 20 year fire fighter Con. His siblings are also strong characters!

He does make some blunt and unforgiving statements, but for each one he makes he is baited 10 fold after. It is the reaction rather than the cause which ruins posts IMHO.

The schtick wasn't that funny to begin with and we were actually talking about players in this thread. Possibly the only thread with footy talk on the forum.

Anyway, anyone think Cerra has a hope in hell of making it to our picks?

Higgins, Brayshaw, Forgarty, Coffield.
Would be happy with any of them.

You are on a footy forum in November.
What are you expecting? New York Review of Books?
Not a lot of substance to discuss at this stage.
