We initially have picks
7 (originally from Hawthorn) 1644 points
8 (our first rounder) 1551 points
43 (our 3rd rounder) 378 points
57 (originally from North via Bulldogs) 182 points
61 (our 4th rounder) 135 points
Our second round pick 25 was sold to GWS last year for Jack Steele 756 points
These picks and their points value will slide backwards & down ahead of the trade period as the AFL awards Free Agency compensation and maybe Priority picks.
They will then move down and up during the draft itself as clubs take advantage of academy and father-son picks to queue jump.
Note that GWS pick No 15 worth 1112 points got demoted to pick 63 worth 112 points.
Picks 16 to pick 63 were then all promoted one place.
Reason - Lachie Whitfield's former girlfriend dobbed him in for avoiding possible drug testing.
GWS lost 1000 draft points for aiding and abetting.

Draft Order Ahead of Free Trade Period
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.
If you are not engaging AI actively and aggressively, you are doing it wrong.
You are not going to lose your job to AI.
You are going lose your job to somebody who uses AI.
Your company is not going to go out of business because of AI.
Your company is going to go out of business because another company used AI.

Re: Draft Order Ahead of Free Trade Period
Cal Thomey's draft order is showing only
Richmond queue jumping from 15 to take Patrick Naish at 12 and
Brisbane using pick 41 to take Connor Ballenden at 20 but they still need another pick ahead of maybe 46 if they don't want use pick 18 on him.

Sure the Saints will unearth a couple of gems with those two late picks!
Unless they get used to upgrade a couple of players off the rookie list.

As expected the Rockliff free agancy resulted in Brisbane being given pick 18
All draft picks outside the first round have been bumped one place.
We now have picks
7 (originally from Hawthorn) 1644 points
8 (our first rounder) 1551 points
44 (our 3rd rounder) 362points
58 (originally from North via Bulldogs) 170 points
62 (our 4th rounder) 123 points
Our second round pick 26 was sold to GWS last year for Jack Steele 729 points
We lost 40 draft points as a consequence of our later picks being demoted.
These picks and their points value will move down and up during the draft itself as clubs take advantage of academy and father-son picks to queue jump.
Note that GWS pick No 15 worth 1112 points got demoted to pick 63 worth 112 points.

WhatAFlop has used restricted free agency to move to Port Adelaide.
Geelong refused to match Port's offer so were rewarded by the AFL with a pick at the end of the first round.
As Geelong finished higher on the ladder than Brisbane their pick will slot in after the pick awarded to Brisbane for Rockliff's move.
Brisbane being given pick 18
Geelong being given pick 19
All draft picks outside the first round have now been bumped two places.
We now have picks
7 (originally from Hawthorn) 1644 points
8 (our first rounder) 1551 points
45 (our 3rd rounder) 347points
59 (originally from North via Bulldogs) 158 points
63 (our 4th rounder) 112 points
Our second round pick 27 was sold to GWS last year for Jack Steele 703 points
We lost 78 draft points as a consequence of our later picks being demoted.
These picks and their points value will move down and up during the draft itself as clubs take advantage of academy and father-son picks to queue jump.
Note that GWS pick No 15 worth 1112 points is now demoted to pick 65 worth 90 points.
Picks 16 to pick 64 were then all promoted one place.
Reason - Lachie Whitfield's former girlfriend dobbed him in for avoiding possible drug testing.
GWS lost 1000 draft points for aiding and abetting.
The demoting of picks means that the real value of the penalty paid by GWS is now 1000 points plus 22 points = 1022 points
